Twi. When they left for the western part of Ghana, they conquered the natives called Etsii and Guans who lived there. They integrated with the indigenes there to form the Fante tribe. The tongue of the indigenes impacted the Twi. Fante is a mixture of Twi, Etsii, Guan and later, some English. That's why Fante sounds almost the same as Twi.

I’m a Fante and what has he done for you to insult him like that. What he is saying is true. Akans have to put their foolish pride which has led to countless wars and deaths in history away, recognize they are a blessed race and come together as one and form a national Akan unity body. It is not to look down on other people but brothers must be together.
