Wow, they did a really good job with optimization on this game on pc. Since the best way to play this with a rtx 2060 is 1080p very high settings, i guess 1080p high settings would stay at or above 60fps 98 percent of the time with a rtx 3050 (the worst rtx card). Very, very good!

this game is quite cpu intensive especially if its older according to DF. I heard some people having cpu issues so if u have something that's like older or weaker than 10600k u might have come across issues in fps. For example df did a test where he would get 70 percent fps gains purely just because of processor so yh

Thanks for testing this card! I've had the Asus model for 2 years now and have got by with a Ryzen 5 2600. I'll probably stick with High without RT and will probably get a smooth experience. My monitor is fixed to 60hz so 60 fps is my ceiling no matter what. I haven't noticed that great a difference between screen space and RT reflections in this game. DLAA is also worth a go.

This game could be the next Crysis. At 1440p high graphics with high ray tracing and quality dlss, in densely populated areas like closer to the ground I get avg 50 fps on a friggin 3080. Although I fear my 10600k could be the bottleneck… I decided to lock the game at 60 fps at that point.

Downscaling from a native 4k monitor to a 1440p gives uneven pixels causing the noise. That isnt the case when downscaling from 4k to 1080p which gives 4 pixels. But it is when downscaling from 4k to 2k. Its like 2.25

The one thing I have noticed that makes me like console more is there is no fps drops on console and stays locked in. On pc even when you try to lock the fps there is always a small but noticeable drop which bothers me. Unless you have a better graphics card than a new Xbox series x, you won't be able to lock fps 100% of the time. I have been working hard to get at least an RTX 3080 desktop build to avoid these issues completely. I currently have a Nvidia RTX 3050 laptop with an intel i5 and 32gb RAM and the laptop with upgraded RAM costs double what the Xbox series x costs and the Xbox is insanely more powerful than the RTX 3050. I have had enough and just want to get the best of the best because games are getting so advanced in graphics that it is going to be required to have a top PC which costs almost quadruple what the Xbox series x costs.

Thanks! Depending on what 10 and 16 series card they have, the 2060 can be a huge upgrade or a downgrade! It's a good jump in performance compared to a 1060 or lower for example, but a 1080Ti will actually perform better than this. The 1660Ti is also only 15% slower than the 2060 so not worth an upgrade imo, but from a 1650 this is a huge upgrade!

Hey Kryzzp lok at GPu power grad at 06:10, before and after U enable FSR, fps is the same but fsr is still a lot easier on the gpu since the power draw went down. Now what is strange is that the fps didn't go up as if you were cpu bottlenecked which is clearly not the case. Same thing happens to me with RT on my 6700xt my power draw drops from 180w to 120w at 1440p when enabling RT and if I was to increase the res it would only bump the tdp a little bit while the fps stayed the same. I also know that I am not cpu bottlenecked since I am monitoring everything and I am using 5600x. But without RT game just runs awesome. Also I know I just wrote an essay but at 4K when you enable dlss it doesn't do anything, here is why, you were running 1440p dlss balanced VRAM usage ~5.1gb, when you went to native 4K vram usage dropped o ~4.5gb, so the gpu clearly ran out of vram and when that happens fps goes down a lot and some of the vram gets freed as well. So were you to try 4K balanced dlss and maybe medium or high textures you would def be around 40 fps. Just saying that this game is very VRAM hungry, look at your 3080ti test.

The cool thing about this game is that any gaming PC can play it. The minimum GPU is a GTX 950.

I’ve found that out with my GTX970. Any gaming PC CAN play it, but not every gaming PC SHOULD. 970 can handle 720p on low settings and if you mess around with each parameter enough you can get it to look pretty nice considering the hardware in question. Still, I wouldn’t expect much more than 45FPS when free-roaming.

If you use any sort of image reconstruction you need to use the highest quality raytracing because lower quality means lower resolution for raytracing (half the res on high settings, and if you use dlss it gets even lower and it wont scale properly with it) So either you use dlss + very high quality rt or high rt without the upscale techniques. Also hbao+ is not working properly and missing objects and foliage on this game, only SSAO is working correctly for now. It amazes me everytime youtubers dont know what they're doing, recording tests everyday with so many hardware on their hands but are clueless with some gaming stuff XD

Pretty incredible to see you can get ps5 like performance with more optimization with a 2060! Lol more options etc. Even better texture resolution etc! Since ps5 literally has settings not even activated in some areas also 1080p tectueed at times and reflections. Not always rk and most of the time it's 4k it drops well below that and the actual internal resolution of objects and stuff can be much lower. At least with Thai that doesn't happen. Where you set it does good.

I have got 3060, so I will go with some balanced settings (something between High and Very High, possibly?) without raytracing and with 60 fps limit (1080p or 1440p DLDSR + DLSS, depends on how sharp the game will look in 1080p). Should still be way better than playing on PS4Pro.

Kinda wish this was done with a CPU that's more likely to be paired with a 2060. Hopefully half the cores won't means half the performance but you're getting Far better performance than the other 2060 benchmarks so this probably isn't that accurate for most people.

This is a GPU benchmark, so the GPU needs to be the bottleneck. Otherwise it's a CPU benchmark which is probably what everyone else is doing then. You need a R5 5600 to achieve these results.
