As a 3060ti owner for the last 2 years, got no hope for th 5060ti to be noticeable improvement.

Will be as fast as 3080 at 1080p, but chokes at 1440p or higher, because of 128bus+8gb of vram.

While I agree it's not great it feels like the 40 series cards were more of a showcase for the AI learning for frame generation and improved DLSS, which although I'm sure it took a lot of RnD and work, basically doesn't justify the extra cost shifting from 30 series to 40 series would set you back by

This is so shameful. Clearly DLSS FG and power efficiency are the only selling points here. I have no hopes for the 5060 Ti or even 5060. With the same 8GB. 🤢

The RTX 3060ti wins only if you own it. If you are building a new PC, the RTX 4060ti although not that much more powerful than the RTX 3060ti, it is better value as you will be getting a brand new card with warranty for just a bit more than a used RTX 3060ti depending on were you are. Some people see these benchmarks and think its a better choice to get a used 3060ti, but thats not the case if you can get a new 4060ti for not that much more. I have also seen some abused 3060ti's for sale that have memory/ram issues and will only run without crashing if you lower the memory clock with something like MSI afterburner.

I underestimated the 128bit bus. I thought the 3060 ti will somehow dominate 1440p with significantly higher memory bus than the 4060 ti's. Edit: Can you test 4060 ti 8gb vs 2080 super at 1440p as well?

You may have problems with crashes OR freezes/stutters due to insufficient memory at MAXIMUM graphics settings. As an example - Dying Light 2, where with maximum graphics I had 8 gigabytes of memory on my RTX3070 and after a while there were friezes and staters with frequent frequency
