lmaoooo foolish of me to think Wildcard would try to optimize this game. Just like when Ark launched in early access back in 2015 when youd need a GTX 1080 Ti to run it. Only problem is it didnt exist yet. Just upgraded to an RX 6800 and this game will already give it fits at 1080p. Awesome.

if you have a full wattage 3070 you should expect close to 30fps with dlss balanced on 1080p on meduim not really ideal, and it can be lower in some locations like the swamps or the redwoods if only it was 60 frames with dlss on quality it wouldve been perfect@@noahm6782

People are disabling volumetric fog and clouds using console commands and it runs a lot better, con you do the testing with that disable?

Important to note that you can do a lot of console commands and balancing of the settings to make the game run smoother and look better. I have it looking pretty decent and 40-60 fps with a gtx 1070. Not saying that to encourage anyone to try before they prove they can optimize it, but there is stuff you can try out if you have allready fallen into the trap. Another important note is that the resolution changes often don't seem to change before changing fullscreen mode back and forth. I restarted my game and suddenly my 60 fps was only 20 untill I turned fullscreen off and on again...

@@Ju-Peter667 There is long lists of commands on the internet you can use but I recommend: r.Nanite.MaxPixelPerEdge 4 (higher number better performance) grass.sizeScale 0.4 r.VolumetricFog 0 r.VolumetricCloud 0 r.Lumen.Reflections.Allow 0 Also resolution scale isn't reducing the quality as much as in evolved so you can take that far down without much quality loss. You might also want to try to play in 720p. Hope that helps :)

@@TheJacobi I don't remember on the top of my head what or where the setting is, but there is a setting related to "console" that makes a new option visible bottom left of the pause menu where you can write your start up commands. OBS or shadow play won’t have an effect. Possibly under 2fps if even. I would not be concerned with that. Modern cards have fast enough video encoding.

People downvoted the game blaming with poor optimization but I don't agree. I mean this game deserves high end graphic cards. Game looks really good. Doesn't cheat on graphics or viewing distance or calculating objects like most of the games do. It's just beyond it's time. I doesn't deserve to be downvoted cuz of this. Eventually they will start to cheat on graphics with updates. And it will be like ubisoft games. And no I'm not rich, I don't have a very powerful gpu. I just have 3060 ti with 1440p. So maybe I can play on low settings with around 40 fps. But in a year or two. When rtx 5xxx or 6xxx released, it would be much easier for us to get higher power with less money.

Your rig is not obsolete. It's just the developers don't know (or don't want) to optimize their games. I ones did a simple level design in unreal engine with a dozen of trees and one building and it wasn't giving me even 30 fps. It's very easy to overload even the best video card if you don't care about optimization.

There's some settings you can tweak to get much better frame rates, so you just might be able to pull it off. Biggest help is turning off volumetric clouds and fog

RTX ON. El trazado de rayos consume DEMASIADO. A la 2080 le costaba correr batlefield que no tiene ni un tercio del trazado de rayos de Ark... sean serios. Aunque tambien hay errores, claro. Porque en algunas PC una 4080 lo corre mal, pero es un error... ya que a algunos con una 2080 le corre en medio y algunas cosas en alta a 2k de resolucion a unos fps MUY DECENTES.

I have the same setup and play on almost maxed everything with like way better fps than this. Also the in game FPS that you are looking at is NOT accurate you need to use the Nvidia overlay it is actually accurate .

Yep. My 3070 gets about 50 fps on 1080p medium with some tweaked settings but it dips to 23 fps pretty often

@@M.A.U.U I'm getting tired of simps also coming around lying. Twice today I ran into people saying they can get over 100FPS+. One saying they get 170 FPS with a 970m and the other 190 FPS with a 4060. The fact they threw out such huge numbers makes them quite obvious liars.
