Buy 3080 fe instead. As Indian prices concerned, Guys, Don't buy the 3070 AIB cards. At that price you'll get a 3080FE and you'll still save approximately 200$. @@SirChickenMcNuggetTheThird I own it for almost two months. At default settings it is stable at 61 degrees Celsius and tbh it rarely makes a sound. I recommend this GPU if you want to build an all-out quiet PC.

Awesome review!!! The Strix card seems to be the best performance-wise, but it's 5-6mm longer than the 3090 Founder model, would love to know if you can manage to squeeze this gorgeous piece into the FormD T1 case.

I absolutely agree, but one could try and mount it vertically and let the cables hang behind the card along the backplate - essentially hiding them.

the pcb isnt as long as the whole card so its expected, also for the fe on the 3070 its a 1x 8pin to 12pin. If they extended it it would interfere with cooling, and add a lot fore wires and sautering points of failure. if you decide to go the route of water cooling the gpu, the 12pin would be located at the edge of the pcb

And it blows exhaust towards an air cooler. I don't see how an adaptor cable is more reliable than internal cables, it shifts blame nicely though for problems and makes manufacturing simpler.

The FE uses a single 8 pin to 12 pin adapter.

@@RobBCactive I'd much rather have to replace a single adapter/cable than have to send a whole card off in the (somewhat unlikely) case of an issue. Issues will happen and I guess they've taken the route that is cheaper for them to repair/RMA.

I bought one at MicroCenter 6 hours after release and they still had like 30 cards left in Minnesota, it seems Nvidia shipped most of their founder's edition to Microcenter and retailers to try and prevent bots, but people are still scalping. 90% of scalped cards are from MicroCenter.

Recently got rog strix white edition 3070 and trust me, you can not hear it from the pc case if it's closed. Runs super cool in my high airflow case. Fans max out at %70 (1730RPM) on full 260W load and temp doesn't go above 66 degrees. Hot spot temp is at 77

Thanks for sharing. After being part of the pc gaming community since 2019, it seems Nvidia Founders Edition and AMD reference cards are the go to devices to purchase. Paying extra on aftermarket cards for 10c degree cooler and maybe 10FPS more is not worth it.

My Gaming X Trio 3070 was running at 2115mhz stock out of the box. 62 degrees. I've undervolted it and it now runs 2100mhz while still being 62 degrees. I just don't have to coil whine anymore. And probably use less power.

Strix RTX 3070 doesn't seem too bad. If the overclock yields better performance than the 2080Ti, and it still comes in cheaper than the 2080Ti, then it might be worth buying. But seeing as there is ROG tax, making it cost the same as the RTX 3080 FE here in the UK, I think the 3070 FE is the way to go.

I have the 3070 ROG Strix and it’s nice :) it is superior to the FE for sure, but for $70 more I can get a 3080 and much better performance and that’s the plan. I’ll wait for AMD and let others buy to see if those drivers are worth it.

I deshrouded my MSI 3080, and installed arctic P12s on the cooler with rubber gaskets forming a Plenum to clean 23C air outside of my case. Undervolted to 856mV and 1920MHz, with full fan speed of 1850 RPM, I can run unigen heaven indefinitely at 56C. Gaming temps are either at or below that level depending on the game, And my system is quieter than the stock fan profile with the original fan shroud.
