WTF. This isn't the problem. CaptainSim scammed the users in such a insolent way for example by designing a "777" and using the panels of a 747 instead the exact ones. CaptainSim also wants to sue people because they're trying to make and distribute Liveries, which is a common action in the community. Many newbies may buy this product, but there's absolutely no way veteran simmers will do so. So in the end, CS looses it good reputation and also a great share of simmers.

The clarity of clouds also has to do with the resolution you're running the game at. At 1080p they aren't going to look so good as 1440 or 4k

Australia is the best country in the world. Sydney is my home. I’m only two small blocks from the beach, and can see the soft beach sand from here. BTW I have been to many countries and none of them have our soft sand.We have one that is unlike any other. I should ask a fee for providing this info. Just a few hours south of Sydney is Jervis Bay. Around here is a small village, which has 200 residents. Its name is Hyams Beach. If you come to Australia, make sure the visit the village and bring your sunnies. The beach sand is dinkum soft as flour. But it is so white that it almost blinding, hence the sunnies. Pure quartz makes it so. So why heck are you not already here.

The thing is, if you want to make a super-detailed 'plane model, you need access to an aircraft that you can take lots of images of, from every angle, take measurements, etc.. If you want to create the sounds realistically, you need a completely different set of tech, and access to a flying aircraft in order to place mics for recording. It's much harder to arrange, more expensive in terms of hardware although probably less time consuming, but the skills required to process the results are also different. I would think it would at least double the costs to produce.

At the risk of getting myself flamed into the burn ward of the local hospital, I must say that #1 - this is a great video and #2 - what is all the fuss about with regard to the product itself? Fewer than one in probably a hundred thousand simmers here have actually qualified on the 777, and that includes me (although I was qualified on the 767/757, A-300 and the 727 and 707 - my avatar is real!). This thing looks pretty good, and you would have to spend time in the books to discover just how it looks and acts different from a 777. Yes, it is probably acceptable to say that it is more or less a "skin" for the stock 747, but that probably won't affect anyone other than someone really looking for a study bird. I don't seem to see Captain Sim advertising this as that kind of product. Actually, Captain Sim are known for their occasional short cuts - I had the 707 for FS9 and the cockpit had some 727 elements in it, which I was aware of since I had been actually qualified on that airplane, but I doubt if very many others noticed. This will probably serve a section of the "market" - the portion that wants to fly a 777 without dealing with the hard core details. As for the price, the visual model alone is probably worth that. The 777 you all hunger for, the PMDG, will cost around $100 more than this, but it will be worth it to some. This sort of reminds me of the Quality Wings 757 for FSX. Great visuals inside and out, and just enough system functionality to operate normally. And it flew very much like a real 757, at least as much as anything can on a PC. But the FMC was very crippled compared to the real thing, a comparison which I was qualified to make, but not very many others could unless they had experience with the Level D. There is a place for such products. I had some good flights with the QW 757 (at the time there was no other 757 availble). You just had to accept it for what it is. So also here.
