I was a MSFS junkie for years. Actually built a flight simulator around 2005. Gave it up because no matter what I bought or what tweaks I made I as well as many others couldn't rid the sim of constant stuttering. As a result I gave it up and my sim equipment sits unused. I probably have $7000 invested as of 2005. I’d love to fly again but don’t want to start the process again only to be disappointed. This video is absolutely awesome and the textures are beyond great!

As demonstrated, some of the aircraft you can get here are amazingly detailed. The world layout is extremely accurate, to the point I landed the "drone" plane in my back yard... yes, even my little house is in the game. We don't travel much due to my wifes health making it so difficult, but this game makes it possible to at least give her an areal tour of places she can never go. Now we need a world wide driving sim this accurate

Proud to say that's where I grew up. Innsbruck is also challenging for the passengers as it is almost a very bumpy approach and when the winds are bad you can expect to suddenly drop two meters.

Fun fact about Innsbruck: At 18:45 right at the go-around, you see the river Inn and a couple trees right in your line of sight of the tarmac. There is actually a little beach there on the airport's side, right below the western approach. So much fun to be there in the summer if you're into aviation, have a barbecue and watch planes come in ~10m above your heads...

@@13rdp haha yeah it probably would have made the trips nicer :) as pretty much always with Innsbruck, you can literally walk out of the terminal and be there within half an hour of walking. Also, you could have waved to the barbecuers, sunbathers and swimmers when coming in through the approach (admittedly not too many swimmers, the river is quite fast flowing and rather cold from melt water). Oh, and since a couple years back some guys added an underwater sail for basically waterskiing right next to that beach ("up stream surfing") , so there's always something to see even when flightrader24 tells you there's no planes inbound.

as a real A320 captain I must say that the level of detail is amazingly accurate in this sim. Even the sound you hear in the cockpit is authentic, although I don't know how the handling feels. Usually flying computer sims are harder than the real aircraft, more stable and less sensitive.

My brother works in IT for an airline. He recently was given the opportunity to use one of the full cockpit simulators used to train pilots, and he was able to land the plane successfully having only played MSFS. Not saying its perfect, but it is a very good, relatively affordable way to get a taste of what flying is like.

Incredible detail and realism. The hardest part remaining is having realistic looking people working the control’s during cockpit set up rather than invisible humans pushing buttons. The sound effects including resonance and vibrations really adds to the experience.

So just leave landing gear and flaps as is. Just something to keep in mind.

Incredible! I'm old enough to remember the first MS Flight Sim, it's amazing how far its come. One of Microsoft's greatest successes.

Amazing sound effects - the pre-takeoff sounds brought all the anxiety of being on a real flight, thank you.

As a pilot myself I can't wait to park up my Airbus A320 at the airport every morning and seat myself in the BMW 320i. That thing is a dream to fly.

"Windshear TOGA" and do not change configuration until out of shear, then you can clean up. By selecting gear up you force the landing gear doors to drop and create more drag, thus less lift because of adding that to the windshear situation... Next time with windshear it's not "Go Around Flaps" ;) but nice flight tho!

I did my IFR training here in LOWI in a Mooney 20E in the 90's. Never had the 08 approach but for sure 20x the LONG 22nm approachh from RTT NDB at 12.000 feet onto the 26. But far more spectacular than the 08 as I several times had cloud tops at 7000 and bottoms just before you jump off the LOC at ABsam and go VMC (banana shaped valley). It's very good for the concentration, knowing you are 100% IMC with mountains right and left of your flight path. You certainly hope they changed the batteries recently on the LOC/DME! It's still my favourite training flight even today in X-Plane with my Beech Baron 58 at night from LOWS to LOWI

Having the pleasure of making this flight on a number of occasions as a passenger and as a flightsim fan, I was captivated by this video. The scenery is mind blowing even down to the famous olympic ski jump on the port side when coming into land👍

It still blows my mind how good the graphics have gotten on these simulators. I remember flying long hauls with my dad on MFS95. It's hard to tell what's real anymore.

Awesome as always @max737ifly .... Just the right-side inboard flap seemed to be "shivering" abnormally at touch down!

Excellent video! My only critique on the simulation, bonus pack and video would include, a quick view down the aisle with some passenger faces in seats (maybe shaken and startled at the missed approach), fans spinning up on engine startup sequence, reduced power setting and sound on the climb out, and some wing flex from the outside views. The flaps rattle on touch down, but not so much on the wings, Thank you!

What is the familiar/reminiscent noise at 8:25. My first thought is it’s something hydraulic as the engines come alive, but I’ve always been curious when I hear it what system it is when I’m on a plane.

At 20:35 the chart states that the MHA for a Missed Approach is 11500ft but you climbed to 9500ft. Was this intentional or an oversight on your part?
