@@lakyfxI have a question: I'm about to buy a new pc and I want to play this game. I heard the CPU is very important to play msfs. So is the combination 4060 and the 7 5800X3D good or should I take a nother CPU? (It shouldn't be that expensive btw)

I think this good FPS is because of your higher CPU performance Ryzen 7 7800XD is like core i9 13th gen which is very costly and unpractical for most of us. What do you think if its Ryzen 5 5600X how many FPS % will it drop?

I can't say, anyway the 5600X is a fairly slow gaming processor. In general, at 60 FPS it almost doesn't matter what kind of CPU you have as long as it's not extremely old, but if you want 100+, 200+ you need an extremely powerful gaming CPU.

Flight simulators are usually slow games, means there isn't any quick movements involved. So, if you can get constant 30 fps, it will be enjoyable (it wont be more than enough, obviously. But it will be good)

Does using VR slow performance down? I started flight sims 30 years ago, but I've avoided them for the past few years because I never got a VR ready desktop.

Based on my usage of PC and VR titles, VR is usually about 10 fps slower than non-vr modes

@@winternow2242 the older the game, the less graphically intense it is (most of the time) so FSX with the 4060 would probably have little to no frame difference but with higher power games such as MSFS 2020 would have a noticeable but small difference

8 GB Vram is far from enough in MSFS if you use add-on airports and play in higher resolution than 1080p.

I agree 8GB is not enough, I consider 12GB to be today's minimum. So that the GPU has some perspective for the future.

go to settings in the menu then look for the preset option and set it to ultra. if your fps is low then enable dlss performance and frame generation at the top if you have a 4000 series rtx card or if you have amd then choose fsr. if you have hd graphics then you probably cant run it. hope this helps

RTX 4060 costs 300 usd and 6800XT costs around 550usd. There are a lot of price differences, the performance increase corresponds to about the price difference. Yes of the two the 6800XT is the better of the two.

I have a 4060 and a i7-13700f, and 32gigs of ram. I only get around 80 fps in GA aircraft at smaller airports. On Ultra it drops down to around 25-30. Any idea on how to get the performance shown in the video?
