I got my MSI GAMING X 6700XT for $215 (second hand) in february and it's a beast. if youre playing esports titles then yes. you can definitely hit 144fps on 1440p to maximize the 144hz your monitor has. but if youre playing aaa games you might need to lower down settings and use upscaling in order to get 100 fps.

as an owner of rx 6700 xt my pros and cons would be pros: - cheap - enough vram for a couple of years - the performance is unreal cons: - temp is too high - fan too loud - driver issue like when i alt tab some game it crashes the game - ray trace performance is meh (idc i dont ray trace at all) for those of you that wanted to buy this card i recommend buy the 3x fan (maybe its much more cooler and less fan noise... i think) or at least buy the good version one, just dont buy the cheapest one like mine which is msi mech 2x oc. Then if u switch from nvidia to amd just like me, you might reconsider like the driver, compatibility and etc. I suffer like cannot force my monitor to 4k or 1440p resolution, custom resolution in amd adrenaline is just not working for me. If you use 2 monitor you will suffer some flickering after you fullscreen an app/software and there will be a lot of black screen if you switch between screens. So this is my summary of owning an amd card for almost a year after i switch from my rtx 2060, in my opinion if you are looking for good raw horseperformance this card is really good for now and the future, but if you only play simple games such as i am, im not gonna lie i'm against this card, in the sidenote if you a sucker for low temp and less fan noise, and yeah driver issue..

maybe check your hdmi cable, i use 3 monitors and there used to be fickering but it's solved after i swap my hdmi cable (adrenaline 23.4.1 btw). i use an asus rog strix oc rx 6700 xt ( got it for $300, pretty cheap now considering it's msrp) and the temp was fine, overclocked to 2850mhz and it never reached 60 degrees under heavy load like games and 3d render (blender supports amd gpu since 3.2). i agree the RT performanhce is a bit meh, tho i've only ever tried rt on minecraft and spiderman (honestly the rt on spiderman isnt worth the performance hit lol)

The RTX 4060 Ti frame time graph is AWEFUL! look for spikes and jumps, the smoother the frame time graph the smoother the game looks. These are "normal benchmarks" and he did a good with them. Unfortunately, "normal benchmarks" no longer matter. As reviewers of the 4060TI have pointed out. Once the 4060 hits that 8GB VRAM limit the textures stop fully loading in. At that point it does NOT matter what the FPS is, the textures are missing.

Played RE 4 remake with 8700k and 6700xt full hd 240hz monitor. Got between 170 - 210 fps during action, smooth, no problem with driver, consume 110-120 watts, 60 - 80c max. Finish the game. Never regret having to swap from nvidia to amd. Dont listen to nvidia kids out there, amd is a better value indeed. Edit : Updated gpu driver before i started Re4 remake, it probably gave huge boost on 6700xt fps performance, i really didnt expect very high fps on this game even on full hd. The graphics is truly amazing.

This aged like milk. Just got a Sapphire Ntro+ 6700XT for $250 an hour later FSR3 dropped with frame generation. Saved $275 got 50% more VRAM and equal features. Ray tracing will be great on AMD with FSR3 FG. $275 saved paid for a 5800X3D.

12 gb is gonna be the minimum vram moving forward cos the requirement is dictated by consoles, and most AAA games are console port. (consoles have 16gb memory, but they are shared between cpu and gpu).

you seem to be misinformed about tdp. the 160w tdp rating the rtx 4060 ti has does not mean the card will always run 160w on full load. The TDP rating serves as a guide as to what is the maximum power the card was designed for, power consumption is less than TDP under lower loads like when gaming. you'll only reach that 160w when you do extreme overclocking and doing heavy loads like rendering or synthetic benchmarks

grats to nvidia for bringing out a card that has the same performance as a card from 2 years 4 months ago that is cheaper as well. It is amazing how we let Nvidia fleece people maximising their profit strategies. Where else do we allow new generation of anything be worse than previous generations?? Nvidia's clever way they release new gen cards. The marketing and streamer world compare a 4060 with a 3060, 4080 with a 3080 etc. Every new gen card should be better than the previous best old gen. Oh, ye thats right...some of you that have a 3090 card can only upgrade to a 4090 and thats another 2k thanks...lovely. Once you buy a **90 card your upgrade will then alway be costly. 3090 to 4070ti, i dont think so........its laughable. Its all about them making the most money they can, pure greed.

Mine is that it doesn't matter to have 100 fps if the game looks bad, for me it's better to have stable 45 FPS in the witcher next gen, with all the ultra and ray tracing at 4k than to have the same but jerking (6700 xt) and with a bad RT or don't activate it.

If you manually activate the performance tuning, fully raise the power limit and in return lower the voltage from 1150mV so far that the PC does not lose its stability, e.g. to 1100mV, the card should run like a charm. Faster, more economical and cooler. Would also recommend manually setting the graphics card fan curve.
