3060Ti really was the best price to performance Ampere GPU. It beat 2080 Super and comes close to 2080Ti at under $500. That's a great generational leap. In fact RTX 3060Ti shares more in common with 3070 and 3070Ti than it does 3060. I think 3060Ti deserves GOAT status among other famous GPUs.

For 90% more power consumption (80 Watts) you get 8% more frames on average (5 fps). If power consumption is of no concern, RTX 3060 TI is the clear winner. But if power consumption is a major concern (like for 3rd world countries like mine) RTX 4060 wipes out the competition.

RX 6800, 6800xt, 7600, etc. I've done my fair share of research and bought RTX 4060TI in January 2024. I had the option to buy a used 3080 or 3070TI but their higher power consumption made the choice obvious.

And most of the time, it doesn't. But idk, I just assume that cost of living in third world countries is much lower and I just thought electricty rates were also lower but GPU prices were more expensive. So if you think it's cheaper to get Nvidia in the long run. Then you're probably right, I don't live in a third world country so I'm probably wrong.

With a slight overclock, the 4060 can still match the 3060 Ti though while consuming 130W or so. Still way more efficient, be it on 1080p or 1440p. If it about the VRAM then yes, you would want 12GB at least for the era of unoptimized and PS5 then both are not a good option either. Go get a Ryzen 4070 instead. I don't understand their unrealistic expectations. They want a 60 series card from current generation to beat 70 series card from last generation. It may have been possible before COVID but everything become expensive since Plus shortage of components accounting to the increase in price but still they delivered such a card at 300 dollars. The performance per dollar on the "budget" cards just makes zero sense these days. Other than a handful of games, it's just better to grab a console than get gouged by ridiculous PC prices. Once you start getting into the 70 and 80 series, things change but...again the price skyrockets. Просто откройте сравнение 3060ti и 4060 ti, все встанет на свои места. Там есть игры где прирост фпс незначительный, но если вы умеете считать в процентах, это куда заметная разница. Учитесь думать и базовой арифметике. И не забывайте что под 4060 можно взять блок питания на 400-450 ватт, и какой-нибудь 5600 райзен. Получится очень бюджетная сборка на долгие годы. Ставить с 4060 блок питания на 600 ватт смысла мало. А с 3060 и 3060 ti такого нет. Плюс 3060 и ее старшая версия сильно грелись и горели чипы памяти. Пойди поищи адекватное исполнение

Got lazy to upgrade to the next gen and still play Fortnite (any live service games from 2015 to 2020) : RX 6600 or RTX 3060 12gb. Cost under 150 watt power usage. More like the GTX 1080 ti/non-ti equivalent but with RTX and DLSS (Nvidia only). I prefer 16 gb minimum VRAM for PS5 era games.

It has the performance of a 4050, but with the 4060 naming scheme and price slapped onto it. If Nvidia had launched this at $150, and named it a 4050, it would have been a decent GPU for entry-level gamers. It could have sold very well if Nvidia had done that.

A 60 class GPU is usually on par with the previous gen high-end GPU. They usually match the previous gen 80 class GPU. Now, the 60 class GPU from this generation can't even outperform the previous gen 70 class GPU.

@Coverpage2568 With graphics cards, there are certain GPU chips that each tier uses in the lineup. For example, in the 40 Series that use the Ada Lovelace architecture, there are five different GPU chips. AD102, AD103, AD104, AD106, and AD107. AD102 is the biggest and most powerful chip in the 40 Series lineup and is used for the highest end 90 class GPUs. AD107 is the smallest and least powerful chip in the 40 Series and is normally used for the entry level 50 class GPUs. These GPU chips can be cut down to make more graphics cards. The 4090 uses a cut down AD102 chip. Nvidia likely did this so they can create a more powerful RTX 4090 Ti later in the cycle using the full AD102 chip. The 4090 Ti never happened, though. There is more to it. However, I don't want to make the comment too long.

@@Coverpage2568 Nvidia completely cheaped out on the 4060. That is why it gets lots of criticism and hate. The 4060 is based on the AD107 chip, and if you were to go by previous generation Nvidia GPUs, the 07 chip is normally used for the 50 class GPUs. This is the first time Nvidia has used an 07 chip for a 60-class GPU. The 60-class GPUs normally use the 06 chip. For example, the 3060 was on GA106, the 2060 on TU106, the 1060 on GP106, and now, all of a sudden, the 4060 uses AD107 instead of the AD106 chip it was expected to use. It makes no sense. This is just a shady marketing tactic that Nvidia used to try and trick gamers into thinking it's a 4060 when it's a rebranded 4050 in disguise. Nvidia is ripping off gamers in the low-end and midrange segments. I hope I have helped you understand this a little more.

And yes, they are not stupid, they made DLSS for gpus that can't perform enough for 60 fps. and by sacrificing and faking textures it will increase your fps, so... If you need to use DLSS for the same purpose where 3060 doesn't need it, it's a waste. You can buy 3060 way cheapier and get way more fps without "blurring" the game

I don't understand this unrealistic expectations. People want a 60 series card from current generation to beat 70 series card from last generation. It may have been possible before COVID but everything become expensive since Plus shortage of components accounting to the increase in price but still they delivered such a card at 300 dollars unlike international markets where the prices are even more. I'm new to PC gaming but it's seems unfair to have such bonkers expectations from a 300 dollar GPU which is still cheaper than 3060ti was at launch at is closing the gap with new driver updates.

The bare minimum for the 60 would be to beat or at least match previous gen's 60ti, that's as low as it gets no?! :D The "norm" in the past few years was that x60 at least matched x70 or slightly surpassed. Like 770-960, 970-1060, 1070-2060, 2070-3060. But in this case, they are trying to shift the low-end offer under the xx60 name, and many people don't like being manipulated by this

@@HUNrobar nah, 1060 is on par with 980; 2060 is on par with 1070ti; 3060 is on between 2070 and 2070 super, but it has 12GB of vram. So with time 3060 will surpass all 8GB cards. So 4060 is trash.

Nope. FSR 3.1 doing pretty the same on any GPU! For example, in GoW:R you won't see the difference. Plus you can install the mods that run any game with FG in RTX 20-30 series if the game supports DLSS 3, but not FSR 3.
