So basically, it's tied with 3080 12gb, but less power draw. With modern games I'm starting to feel like my 3080 isn't cuttiing it anymore for high-ultra settings, I'd almost suggest going for 3090/4080 minimum for ultrawide in the current day.

Agree but keep in mind, if he would activate dlss3 + FG in every game, the performance would be just enough.

@@sallysbananenrepublik3740 Never seen DLSS frame generation in person, may be viable. DLSS upscaling on the other hand isn't. If you're looking for a 1440p experience, dlss doesn't give you that. I'd say dlss should only be reserved for games that run noticeably worse than others. Get a good enough GPU to keep it off 99% of the time.

i can run mw2 on my omen x35 @ high/med settings capped at 75 fps, laptop 3070 130w ;) (4070 desktop is not an upgrade option wait for 50xx imho).

Such a waste of money. The CPU is lingering at 15%, while the GPU is maxed out at 100%. Why not buy a 6% slower CPU at 50% the price (like a 13600K) and invest the remaining 300$ in a 4070Ti ? Also the DDR5 in real life is almost identical to DDR4. It looks good on paper, the speed increase is negligible, though. Safe another buck right there. With the saving of CPU and DDR get the 4080 instead. By balancing out the bottleneck you get your machine faster at the same price or, at the same speed you can safe money.
