The 4070 is too much for this processor, so the CPU can't really utilize and take advantage off the cards power that well. Also it will crash a lot, especially since most will be using a 650w PSU. Because this setup will most likely be a prebuild like Skytech or MSI. I thought about buying the Skytech version with this setup on a flash sale for $1099, old cpu, 650w psu (cheap) and no liquid cooling. BAD idea, even for 1080p gaming it will sound louder than a PS4 Pro. So nah I passed. I'll stick with the quiet consoles lol. Watch other videos with very bad STUTTER.

Actually 12400 is pretty weak for such gpu, consider building pc yourself, it's definitely gonna be a lot quieter and not more expensive

Thank you for the test, I would have some remarks. You have most games running well and some games having a slight to mild bottleneck. 12400F runs faster with DDR5 and you tested with DDR4. This only difference can resolve half of the bottlenecks. The other thing is, there are some BCLK OC capable motherboards like my Asrock B760M PG Riptide. I run my 12400F at 4800MHz. This can also give a kick and further decrease the bottleneck. I also have a 4070, but I sent it to retailer for a warranty repair, hopefully repasting, it was running very hot, I am waiting for it to return, so I am using an RX 6800 right now, also a great card for a 12400F.

Hello bro i have a question since i see you have almost all the good hardware. I just bought a 7800xt, and i dont really have money for a good CPU, im limited budget wise between a ryzen 5 5600x, or a i5-12400F, what do you thin k it's better paired with the 7800xt for less bottleneck? Do you think i should wait and buy something else? Will my performance be hindered a lot with these cpus? thanks.

The bottleneck won’t be as horrible as you think with either of these cpus. Especially if you’re playing at 1440p. Just comes down to if you need those extra e-cores on the 12400 or not. Gaming performance wise Ryzen will do better

@@themoviesfranchise6450 7800xt is faster than the 4070, has more vram, is cheaper, has av1 encoding. It s a no brainier, you can watch every benchmark or reviewer, the 7800xt kicks the 4070s ass. That said if those 60 bucks are not that important for you, you can buy a 7900GRE that's 10% faster than the 7800xt
