I've been a nvidia user for 12 years then i switched to amd recently. In my situation, i have to play a nft game and a AAA game (4k native/ 4k upscaling-better than 1440p native) at the same time, vram is not an issue anymore. If you don't have a budget for the 4080s or 4090, 7900 gre is a great choice, even better with a few clicks to OC (using amd adrenalin, you have everything you need for controlling, tracking, recording and oc in an app ). RT on this bracket is not recommended, even for the 4070s.

Absolutely, i also always look for the best price-performance ratio and mostly go amd cards because of that. The huge price for nvidia cards isn’t worth it just because of better RT in my case. Even if i had a nvidia card I would turn RT off because of the still huge performance costs

To me a graphics card is good for a resolution if it can run most of games in 60fps at high settings (not ultra) at that specific resolution. So if it's a 4k card most games new games should be able to run at 4k@60fps.

Alan Wake 2 without FSR gave 30-35+ but with FSR it gets less in like 15-20....... AMD is btter than nvidia, it just needs to improve on its Frame generation part

It´s a shame next gen titles run so bad even on so expensive cards. If you want 60 FPS 4k on Ultra Native you need a 4080 or better. Why do I need to spend more than 1000 Bucks on a graphics card to get only 60 FPS ? When I had to spend over 1000 Bucks I would at least expect 120 FPS 4K Native on Ultra in all games. This should be Standard for the highest price segment in 2024 and 4k 60 for the middle price segment. This AI shit is such a trashy thing. I want raw performance and effeciency for a fair price. The days of being able to max out (ultra settings) a demanding AAA title with a consumer grade, sub $1k card are long gone. Currently the high end beefy cards are in the $2k range and that's just the reality of the GPU market. And technically you are geetting performance and efficiency for your $, its just not enough to tackle the latest wave of demanding titles that gets released each year. Personally, I've pulled back from the highest end $$$ hardware, and settled in with a mid-tier setup that lets me play 4k with some slightly reduced settings. I'm okay living in that range, but I can see why most are upset by the price and power creep that conitnues to grip the GPU market.
