The GPUs are fantastic. These are large meaningful jumps in performance for both and Nvidia esp at the high end. Launch availability for amd and 4090 is abysmal and by company choice. Prices are ghastly but you know what? The 7900xtx is the same price as the 6900xt. And I have held off on buying a GPU since 2020 when I sold my last one before the spike in prices. These are at least MSRPish and cheaper than. 1200 and 1600 for Nvidia so that was my way of voting with my wallet is by telling Nvidia NOPE the pandemic was a fluke those prices are nope-tastic. I doubt Nvidia will listen. They'll just slow their supply of Nvidia GPUs and move them to enterprise and raise prices.

Yeah, it's ridiculous how they've decided to stick with the RONA NINETEEN pricing with the silicon shortage that was going on. Greedy corps gonna be greedy. Well with the 4070ti technically being $100 cheaper then the 7900xt i dont think amd will cut its price at all, the 7900xt beats the 4070ti in basically everything but RT so now they hit the right bracket competition wise....... which is a shame as they should all be slightly cheaper starting at the top but heyho it is what it is. Wow this is what I want to know from someone that actually has experience with these cards. I have run Nvidia for the last 15+ years and never had driver issues. My MSI Trident X with an rtx 2080 is humming along with my Aorus F048U 4K OlED, I don't play the triple A games more like War Thunder, American truck sim and some racing titles. Very stable platform even slightly overclocked. I am starting a build but will be doing it slowly as I am now retired and limited income. I was hoping AMD was going to step up the drivers quality so I could switch over.

This was my experience as well. I went AMD for years and I felt like a lot of my time was just troubleshooting fps, games stutters, artifacts or freezes etc. I figured "oh that's just typical PC stuff". Switched to Geforce by chance, and MAN i've never looked back. It's like day and night, it just WORKS no issues, don't have to be messing with tons of settings or wasting all my time looking up issues. Couldn't be happier with my 3060ti, and now my 4070 ti. Not only that, but if you do anything outside of gaming like with AI, Nvidia is the only option with its tensor cores!

Ofc 12gb vs 20gb is not a equal comparison. But infact nvidias vram is much faster than AMDs. It doesn't necessarily make up for 8gb vram, but you should keep that in mind. Besides all that the 4070ti is clearly made for wqhd not for 4k. And yes it's way too pricey for that.

Everyone saying how bad the gpu are lately, are misleading a little. Every so often, the applications and games get more advanced than what technology can handle. It's always happened. That is what we are seeing. Also worth note, the new consoles released a few year ago which believe it or not, set the tone as to what developers will/can do and will take a little while for them to dial in games. Consoles are what makes the bug bucks for game devs these days, so once they start using the full potential of those, that's when pc will get way more optimisation

Both cards are not worth the money if you have a 4K monitor. If such large sums are going to be given for cards, I would calculate between 4080 and 4090 in general in at least 40-50 titles.

You can do 4k with a 1080p monitor. Games resolution isn't about the resolution of your screen. Paradoxaly it's better to render a game at 4k and then downscale it to 1440p( on a 1440p monitor of course), you keep all the details and sharpeness of the 4k and you get an absolut amazing anti-aliasing by downscaling. The resolution of your screen directly depends on the size of it, of course you don't want to play on a 52 inches TV at 1440p, but for a 27 inches monitor 1440p is just fine. I tried 4k on 1080p, 2k, 4k monitor and honestly a 24inches 1080p monitor get you the same result as a 32inches 4k monitor.

The issue with Frame Generation is that there are very few games that actually got it right now. It has been like 6 months. And there's less than 10 AAA titles that got it.Even new games like last of us or re4 don't have it. Same with Callisto protocol or dead space and i think jedi survivor won't have it either.

With these GPU's close to 300watts, 50 or 60 plus watts for the CPU, heat from power supply, and the rest of the system components, a little heat from the monitor, and you have a floor heater whether you wanted one or not.

I see way too many people who ACTUALLY make the switch report a very similar experience to NVIDIA drivers, in that they encounter roughly the same amount of bugs. A good friend of mine had owned a rx570 for 6 years and hardly had problems gaming with it. However, he is huge Blender render user so he did complain about the driver performance specifically in that regard. That said, most people aren't buying these cards to use them for 3D blender rendering, and even so it's not like it's out of the question for simple hobbyists. Nvidia is undeniably better if your daily workflow consists of blender and premier pro, but I wouldn't discount AMD cards nowadays by claiming that their drivers don't work, which seems to be less and less true these days.

I bought my asus sabertooth med-high end motherboard for 55K, hehe now the same category is 100+. Its not just VGA-s, in price u see bigger diff there cuz they were more expensive always. I find it's really hard to choose AMD card simply because Nvidia has dlss. Dlss 4k performance is really good and can almost match native and you get 80% performance boost. Unless AMD card is much faster and offers a similar price, I wouldn't go for AMD. And dlss 3 is much better than fsr.

They are not head-to-head in RT, the best example is Cuberpunk. 4070ti more better with DLS3 Quality + RT. But if disable RT and DLS and FSR yes 7900xt is more productive on 10-20% but more expensive in my region on 10%. I chose for a long time what to buy and bought 4070ti and I love it. 2K RT+ DLSS Quality perfect picture with 80-100 fps.

@@MLadie96 amd has fsr and fidelityFX (they are not THAT good but they are pretty fucking close given that they are around 1 gen late to it) and and in terms of reflex they doesnt have anything good yet, HYPR-RX which hasn't been released yet but when it gets released it should get close to or around the same as reflex. we should compare tecnologies again in around 4/5 months when both HYPR-RX and fsr 3.0 hit rn they are a bit overpriced for what they offer in terms of technology (not in resterization performance tho even when as time passes thats more and more irrelevant) rn i would go team red any day of the week(im team green rn) and the part bout different games showing different results its just something that has happened always you usually see amd performing better in games that come from console and nvidia performing better in pc exclusives (or orginally only pc) its more of how the developers make the game rather than the drivers from both sides.(they help but they are not THAT relevant besides problems exlusively related to drivers like stutters and low 0.1 and 1% while having higher 99%)

Im still happy with my RTX 3070 at 1440p resolutions, smooth 80+ FPS in any game with ultra settings. To achieve same performance on 4k need about 1.2k euro, too crazy... I wish I chose better when I bought my 3060 Ti in october 2021. Prices were skyhigh and I payed 1200$ for an MSI Gaming Z Trio 3060 Ti. (also, prices in my country are higher in general due to taxes and customs). BUT, if I waited a few more months, for that money I could have gotten a 6800xt, which is miles better than a 3060 Ti in normal rasterization. I actually couldn't care less about ray tracing, as the visual bonus it brings is so insignificant compared to the performance cut that it's not even funny. So, for anyone that doesn't care about the marketing gimmick that is called ray tracing, AMD is the no-brainer choice. Especially now that they have added video encoding to the 7000 series, so they're pretty good for video editors as well.

The 4070ti is clearly a wqhd graphics card with 12gb and 192bit interface. You have to keep this in mind when u look at a 4k comparison. And yes indeed it's too expensive for only being a wqhd graphics card. But since most people still have "only" wqhd monitors or even full HD, it's not a bad option if you plan on longterm performance and are still on a wqhd monitor. Even with the memory shortcomings it still manages to trade blows with the 7900 XT which has far greater memory related specs, i know the price isn't good but that's kinda impressive

I have 4k monitor therefore I have bought 7900 xt today because 20gb vram and 320bit is quite important for me.The price of both cards is the same.I think 7900xt is more powerful than 4070ti.I watched a few test videos,the performance of 7900xt is between 4070ti and 4080.I have played "Scars above" recently with Sapphire 7900xt nitro+ and I got 144 fps with ultra settings with 4K monitor.I have ryzen 3700x cpu and 16gb 3600mhz ddr4 ram.The temperature of 7900xt was between 65 - 69C during the game.Ray tracing was off in the game.
