Now test the latest driver with fluid motion frames+fsr on (have to monitor through adrenalin overlay) activate dlss too to try and make it fair because dlss doesn't give 90% boost like the afmf feature does now.. the 7900xtx is the new king, sorry nvidia. Because also a sapphire nitro xtx is gonna gain alot more speed over a regular xtx from any other brand as compared to literally any vendor 4090, so I'd compare that one (still 2k$ 4090 compared to a grand 7900 but the performance is actually more on par til you destroy the 4090 with fsr+afmf vs dlss)

Thanks! I bought my 7900 XTX open box in April 2023 at Microcenter for $799. After watching your comparisons it seems ray tracing performance is more of a software coding issue than a hardware issue as evidenced by Resident Evil's ray tracing performance. Great job to Nvidia on the performance, but the $1200 I saved went towards my 45" LG Curved 240HZ OLED gaming monitor.👍

not in native, neither at ultra max settings...it could also mean that developers have access to a very more powerful than RTX 6000 Ada Lovelace cards in their testing machines for the near future. with current software real time accurate RT and photorealistic quality at fast pace FPS seems to need at least 5 times more raw processing power on the GPU side, or some very high AI injection to the full rendering pipeline and new CPU+mb+ram+pcie architecture... Who knows in which machines are they testing it... IT used to be better to test in the slowest full API compliant system first, in order to optimize the multithread, bottlenecks etc and try for best scaling possible, or less slow perfromance number of slow systems... the INtel explanation on optimizing ARC drivers are good explaantion for this... they can pump +40% FPS on i3 or i5 while i7 and i9 will only notice +10% FPS, but overall is better for all kind of gamers... RTX 4090 depending on the game is also on a wide range goes from 300W to 400W (never reaching 450W maximum) and only using 8 to 16GB of vram, there is still room for improvements on top end parts and games for sure, though... 20FPS on 7900XTX $1000 are also good value for the money. From a Quality of image view point. from a perfromance point of view your sarcasm is very accurate appreciation.

And it's easy to pass because of scummy moves like giving frame gen only to 40xx cards (when there's a mod right now from amd that can do similar thing on older cards) and selling xx70 ti with 12 gb for 800$ msrp (not mentioning shit like 4060 ti 16 gb for 500$). As a person who owns the 7900XTX powercolor hellhound version. I consistently see my GPU clocks hit 3k. I'm not sure if I'm lucky or this is a bad example from TG but I feel like the clocks on the sample in the video are too low. But I'm just pulling from a sample size of 2. Its the pure baseclock für both Chips. So all i can see is pretty solid overclocking which the 4090 in the Vid doesn't have, too. Boostclock of the XTX Hellhound should be 2525 MHz and for the Nitro+ 2680 MHz. So yes, 3k is pretty much for both of your cards and i think, they will tend to consume around 450+Watt instead of 350 a XTX should need basically like in the Vid.

Buying the MSI 4090 Liquid Suprim X was the best decision I made and got it for the $1750 MSRP 8 months ago. The only downfall now is having it paired with my 5800x3d. It leaves a lot of performance on the table compared to a 7800x3d. Planing to upgrade with the 8000 series CPU.

To be honest, 4090 is just an entry-level 4K 60FPS RT graphic card. In the future, 5090 will run 4K 100FPS RT on.

Very interesting settings to test other cards from RX7000 and RTX 40 families in a round-up and head to head once you get all the data: - rx7600 8 gb, rtx4060 8gb, rx7600xt 16gb, 4060ti 16gb, 7800xt, 4070 ti super 16 gb, 4080 16gb, 4080 super, 7900gre 16 gb, 7900XT, 7900XTX, rtx 4090 and RTX 6000 Ada. - finding kind of optimized setting at least equal to PS5 like image quality at 4K30 or somewhere near to be better comaprison of playable settings would be much appreciated also. BUT 4K High and 4K High RT as you did seems fine also even with upscaling on. - Testing also but DLAA and AMD FS3 AA equivalent ultra quality in 1440p or 4K it would be nice, as downscaling and using AI to enhance better than native resolution is interesting but forgotten in test only focusinf on max FPS.

I have the 7900 XTX but I also have a RTX 4070. Both are great cards but I notice the Radeon graphics look more crisp and clear while the Geforce look dim/dull and look slightly blurry using the same settings. I have noticed this over the last 15 years of gaming. It first started with my GTX 295 and HD 4870X2, then with my GTX 580 and HD 6970.

After using thr 7900xtx, i think im going to switch to the 4090. The big reason is, i cant record anything while hdr is on with the 7900. It records, but the image or video is darker than what it should be. 7900xtx is future proof with 2.1DP but if i cant record fun times with friends, is a loss. Ive noticed if you run AI, amd tends to struggle, stability matrix.

7900xtx works fine for recording HDR, just not Adrenalin. other software works normally, some of which have those timeshift features (ie save the last x minutes of gameplay) similar to Adrenalin and Nvidia if that's useful to you.

What is the point of RT ? You have here RTX 4090 $2000 GPU and with RT on you have 45 fps hahahahah. This is all pure garbage and no brainer features. In games without RT RTX 4090 is stronger card, Nvidia have no competition in top tier last 10 years (maybe the previous generation RX 6900XT compared to RTX 3090 was only real sompetition) but is it 20fps more worth double the price ? No fucking way !!!

That's before we even consider how many people people use the 4090 exclusively as a workstation card where it's the best mainstream card on the market in that area too. If you're talking about top sold and used cards the top 25 spots on the steam hardware survey using dedicated gpu's are all Nvidia cards. If we're talking about the latest gen cards only then the entire 4000 series has outsold their equivalent AMD 5000 series competition. I personally don't think the gap should be quite as big. I wish more people bought AMD to force Nvidia to be a bit more competitive on pricing but AMD's pricing isn't exactly amazing lately either.

RT is not so bad on the xtx at all, I run the games I play all above 60 fps on RT 1440p native at highest settings. People think that AMD is terrible at RT, but they actually are just behind in upscalers, most of the nvidea vs amd RT bench marks use dlss and frame gen, which is a huge advantage to nvidea, but amd does not fall behind on raw performance. The best 3 cards you can buy right now are the 4080, xtx and 4090, and the xtx being the second best card in the market.

To be honest, 4090 is just an entry-level 4K 60FPS RT graphic card. In the future, 5090 will run 4K 100FPS RT on.
