Everyone NEEDS to keep in mind that the results you're seeing are sipping just 70w...a fraction of the cards it's being compared against. Just makes it all the more impressive. The ECC and other technologies make the A2000 a spectacular low power draw SFF workstation/gaming/video editing card when paired with a 35w processor, like an 8c/16t Ryzen 5750GE.

@@crm4667 Sure, we got the terrible RX 6400 and 6500 XT from AMD and we also got the even worse 1630 from NVIDIA, but in my defense, all of those came out after I made that comment. A different perspective could be that If we take the 'official' price of the 3060 as £299 (hahaha), then a 3050ti/super using the same gpu die (but cutdown) would have to be something like £230. This would essentially give you a cooler running 2060 for the price they *should* naturally be at now, which doesn't actually sound that amazing. This specific card looks gorgeously minimalistic though, I'd be interested to see what you do with it next!
@F7GOS3 жыл бұрын
It's quite a fun card to tinker with.. having a genuine fixed power budget of 75W that you need to split between the Fans, the GPU and the Memory means its a fun little card to juggle with! It does look awesome too which is never a bad thing!

There's about a 5% drop in performance between this and and RTX 2060. Not that I can truly confirm those numbers, since mine is being gimped by an R5 2600X... But, Yeah. I kinda wish this card was much cheaper. It's the ultimate performance per watt card with the most feature rich software support list. The RX 6400 COULD have been it's next best competitor, if they gave it video encoding, didn't gimp the pcie bandwidth and the memory bus. Plus- allowed it to pull up to 65W, even if only at boost. I like AMD. But, they do some really backwards stuff at times.

I mean yes at a larger scale the percentage decreases with greater numbers but this is down cutting a third of Nvidia's now released 3050 8GB 115w card to 70w, I'd say fractions of smaller numbers are a greater impact than bigger ones (like Minecraft armor). Screw both the 90w and 115w 3050s I'm gettin this. I've been trying to get rid of my 1660 Ti for some-in and it certainly not a 3050... 1660 Ti beaten by PCIe cards at last.

I would say its efficiency is not that impressive; you should realize, rather, how excessively overclocked modern desktop cards are. Lately I saw a comparison between the 6600 desktop and the 6600M... and the main difference was something like 75Mhz on the boost clock out of nearly 2.5Ghz. Quite an insignificant raise in clockspeed... that translated to an increase of over 30% in power consumption. That's the other energy crisis. IT companies thinking they should overclock everything just to appear to have the best.
