Just remember when you talk about the brutality of war that the west promoted and recognised the violent coup that overthrew the democratically elected president of ukraine in 2014 that caused the civil war in Ukraine and the the Russian annexation of Crimea and that nato provoked Russia to invade Ukraine by refusing to discuss Ukraine remaining a neutral country and not joining nato. Neutrality would have prevented the invasion and the possibility of war crimes occurring. Prior to 2014 and the western backed ultra nationalist, anti Russian revolution, Ukraine had been a peaceful country. Western intervention has once again led to the creation of another failed country to add to the list of failed countries caused by nato/western intervention since the end of the USSR. That list is Bosnia, Kosovo,Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya and now Ukraine. All those interventions also resulted in millions of refugees fleeing to the west to the detriment of western countries. All these failed interventions have benefitted the western arms industry who have grown especially rich during this nato provoked war in Ukraine. Similarly the israeli wars have done the same. Always follow the money.

yeah they "win" the PR about the war and lose the war itself for months now. recently one of the biggest supporters of ukr, czech president, said: "The most likely outcome of the war is that part of Ukraine’s territory will remain under Russian occupation, temporarily,” adding that this “temporary” state could last for years. he told them to be realistic. indeed that would be a wise choice to end this nonsense war before they lose even more.

Has there ever been a war where the USA didn't commit war crimes? As Wikileaks proved, In Iraq and Afghanistan their troops -- and some British troops -- were responsible for thousands of such incidents, mainly against civilians. The western media overwhelmingly refused to report on them and the USA and UK were more interested in keeping Julian Assange in solitary confinement without charge and suppressing the data.

Willy follows too many nafo accounts. I follow lots of Russians and never see videos with gay memes, emojis and music over them. They play rock music but never laugh at the enemy. You are talking about Ukraine now! I mean, the Ukrainian military started shooting first, and the mercenaries who fled Ukraine started talking about it. You can find it on the internet. There, the mercenary told how the Ukrainian military cut the tendons on the legs of prisoners of war and forced them to swim across the river. The Russians began to take revenge. Then Ukraine was the first to use cluster munitions, prohibited munitions. Then the Russians started using the same ammunition. Then several terrorist attacks took place on the territory of Russia, about which the intelligence service of Ukraine boasted so much on the Internet. The West has not condemned the terrorist actions. There are also many videos about attacks by the Ukrainian army on residential buildings in Russia, well, come on, how can we stop this now? No way! Just measure yourself.

What's happening in Vuhledar now is a direct consequence of the Kursk operation. Support assets were shifted to support the offensive, suffered significant casualties, and can't be withdrawn without further casaulties and the collapse of the Kursk salient, which Ukrainian command wants to avoid due to the poor optics. They also stripped front-line units in the east of their reserves and even some front-line units to provide troops for Kursk, which now are not available to rotate units out in the south and east. Sooner or later some of these units are going to be pushed beyond human endurance and are going to shatter.

There was a psychological experiment carried out by the Germans in WW2 where they attached a group of pacifist soldiers to the most brutal punisher unit after reassuring them they won't have to fight. Initially they outright refused the hurt another human being but after shadowing the sadistic unit for some time and witnessing all the horrors, they slowly begun to take part in killings and torture. Willy asserts that Sudzha in Kursk is not as important territory as Sevastopol. On the surface, that seems reasonable, what with Sevastopol being a famous Russian naval port and all. However, please consider a more consequential math regarding the importance of those two territories, as follows: The Russians are not going to give up Sudzha under any circumstances and the Russians are not going to give up Sevastopol under any circumstances; therefore, Sudzha and Sevastopol are territories of equal importance as to any peace negotiations. Meanwhile, for the Ukrainians and future Ukraine, Odessa is more important territory than is Pokrovsk. If the Ukrainians will have been forced to cede the latter we will be left with a reduced Ukraine; having lost the former, we would be left with almost no Ukraine at all.

They are now saying there is a FAB 9000 that's been used, first time last week, not sure if it's true but the video showing it looks a lot bigger than a FAB 3000.

@@nedialkosimonov3893 Some Ukraine sources are saying it was not an ODAB because that requires a strategic bomber to deliver and none have been seen. Perhaps ODAB are now being fitted with glide kits - who knows. If they are then things are looking very bleak indeed for front line Ukrainian soldiers.

unlikely a TU-22M and TU-160 able to carrie that one but the FAB must have gliding capabilities it is to dangerous to drop it without they came to close to the front. no one has yet said that you have these skills.

Shiii, looks like Russia finally found a proper _Zhukov_ to manage the SMO. There are cascading advances all along the frontlines and previously believed strong fortifications turn out to be mere speed bumps. There are even rumours the Russians are close to or already made an electronic warfare breakthrough which will allow them to reliably and consistently neutralise Ukie drones...

Nixon found a way to destroy cancer cells in the 1970s but buried the studies because they didn't support his War on Drugs. It's a plant that can be grown easily at home and the oil extracted in the kitchen. 60 grams will end most cancers.

I love the whole "if you're not looking back into history when analysing the present/future then you're making stuff up" Somehow I got through an MA in history without ever hearing a professor say that lol but its very true. Waaaay too many people - and fields - are comfortable doing analysis with no reference to a larger, historical perspective. Journalists obviously but also many social sciences which seem to sneer at the qualitative analysis inherent in history, preferring to imitate a 'hard' science and doing questionnaires and collecting data. Economists are certainly guilty of this.

Whatever the Ukrainian side marks as gray zone is really red , they rarely ever win a counter attack , even when they use there best troops with there Western equipment. I told everyone yrs ago that our west \ NATO vehicles and weapons are no better , they just cost more that's it. Its not Iraq, using new technology GPS to sneak around the enemy tanks and take them out at night, knowing that they don't have working night vision . plus Saddam never really had his military trained .

The Polish Ukrainia Legion is probably only going to produce a brigade or two at most. However, I still think the Europeans will eventually cave to Ukraine and start sending back Ukrainian men to keep Ukraine from collapsing. The Baltic nations and Poland will be the first to do so. So maybe this Ukrainian legion won't so bad compared to being send back. Because at least the legion comes with rights and citizenship to return to those European countries and likely more training, maybe lol

I don't think returning Ukrainians to Ukraine will happen. They will claim asylum and the legal process will be long and then there are appeals procedures. Also, It has long been a principle that people are not forcibly returned to countries where their life is in danger. If Ukrainians can be returned to a clearly very dangerous situation then why not anyone else ? Then there will be the possibility of distressing scenes of Ukrainians being frog marched to whatever transport or camps are arranged. It would be a very ugly look. I think the governments might like to do such a thing but the political and legal fallout will prevent it.

Your reasons excluded the personal. As war goes on more and more people will know someone personally close to them that has been killed by the other side. Hard to not want revenge at some level. And so it spirals with revenge for revenge.
