Although this is satire i can definitely appreciate the points you brought up about Ruan Mei's design. She is supposed to be this sorta unhinged biologist who plays god by experimenting on and creating living beings. But for someone who has the goal of ultimately becoming an Aeon through her research and experimentation, her character design doesn't show any of that. She looks like every other Xianzhou beauty and I feel like that hurts her characterization. Asta on the other hand showcases her love for astronomy not only through her design but through her abilities as well. I feel like the team really dropped the ball on Ruan Mei just so they can make her horny-bait.

Doesn't ruan mei also showcase her love for traditional art and embroidery in her wearing a beautifully intricate qi pao and her idle weaving a fan? Also if you'd played the current quest you would know she's quite the calm and collected person and unhinged in a way that is subtle and a little a bit of a psychopath, she's a quiet and calculated character and her graceful design honestly reflects that so I disagree with you.

All jokes aside, I really DO like what they have done with her in her trailers - an amoral, uncaring, and almost sociopathic scientist who's fixated on discovering the fundamental truth underlying the universe disguised with a calm and elegant demeanour. The problem is... NONE OF THIS SHOWS UP IN THE GAMEPLAY (or her design for that matter). Unironically, kind of agree about Ruan Mei, I didn't pull for her because she didn't interest me as a character at all.
