The most notable thing about the guitar is it is free of any pretention. No rocket ships or flying saucers crept into the design. I am sure this guitar is pricy as demand dictates good ol' cottage industry. BUT! ..... It could easily be the standard of all future guitars like wood is now. The materials allow it to be made industrially by computer operated CNC and other machines as it can be cut to precise pieces without the need of extensive hand work on an unstable material like wood that needs constant maintenance. Add to that a big problem with wood is that the heat generated by cutting tools on high speed CNC type machines burns wood so it slows production by as much as 90%. The key thing is tone is not lost. The small issue with the PU's could be fixed easily with PU's designed with less highs even using conventionally designed PU's. THANX for another great show. Our time was well spent even if we could have watched another show of the latest new Strat that has the stunning and dramatic improvement change from the last one of a ...paint color 😠LOL.

The guitar sounds and looks fantastic! I want to try out a Rubato guitar. I have some Rainsong and Emerald acoustic guitars which are made out of carbon fiber. I think they sound just as good as my wood acoustic guitars but offer advantages. I don’t worry about the carbon fiber guitars cracking or being damaged by temperature and humidity changes. Where I live it gets really dry in the wintertime so this is a big deal for me. I recently got an Emerald Virtuo electric guitar. I think it sounds great and compares well to my wood electric guitars. Thanks Leon for all the great content!

It's like an Ibanez S series and a Hamer Special had a baby! I love that new fingerboard. A moment of silence for no inlays! haha.. I have a LP Jr I put together from the best kit guitar company on earth out of Canada. precision guitar kits .. All one word.. I got a maple neck and fingerboard with no inlays. That carbon fiber is beautiful too brother.. Love it.. Love those fret ends.. Like the Ibanez prestige fret ends.. Hot dog ends I see they call them in the Luthier forums.. That 6 way switch id awesome and I love it that you don't have to worry about wood too moving around and making the neck bow.. What a great thing that you can use that and not have to worry about it being temperature sensitive. I love that guitar man.. Lightweight and able to move around is too cool.. Love it brother! They are stainless frets too aren't they? What is the bridge? I'd want a floyd, but that's me.. I love it.. Absolutely very cool brother! Very cool.. Thanks so much for this Demo man.. I'll have to check out their website.. Thank you Roberto guitars for allowing Leon to do this demo.. What a great guitar and great work guys! I love it ..!!!!!! That logo was a nice touch man! Be well Roboto and Leon!
Great stuff Leon! The guitar looks and sounds amazing (as your playing)...I really like the top-end/attack in the sound, like a more glassy thing than I'm used to hear, but I like it a lot. Hmm...pretty pricey here in Sweden, almost as much as my PRS Custom 24-08 but great guitars cost a little bit more so I just have to save some money now. 🤩👍 Keep it up! 💪🎸

The guitar looks and sounds great. Ola Strandberg said that in his tests, Richlite sounded better than wood (Ebony?). I live in a relatively hot, and humid climate, so carbon fiber guitars are of particular interest to me. Even though there is no need for a Truss Rod on most Carbon Fiber necks, the ability to dial in neck "Relief" is a feature I like. I wish that Carbon Fiber Electric Guitar Makers included easy Pickup Swapping from the back of the instrument using "Quick Connectors, as that material is so strong that it probably wouldn't need any additional reinforcement or special mechanisms. There would be no need to remove strings or pickguard or do any soldering, and it would take only seconds to test or swap out different pickups. This would make it much easier to put in the perfect pickups for any particular genre or style, and not require having or maintaining multiple guitars. Just one great guitar to rule them all. As an alternative, I've started creating "quick swap" loaded pickguards for my Strat using extra pickups, pots, and caps, I've used in the past. The pickguard only requires one Quick Connect at the Output Jack. I've timed myself, and it takes 8 minutes to just loosen the strings, remove the pickguard, swap in the new pickguard, and tune up the strings. By my count, I'll end up with 4 or 5 unique swappable pickguards with distinct pickup configurations and sounds for my One Strat. 😎

Some respectful feedback for Rubato: your guitar seems pretty cool. My biggest wish? IMO you need to a cooler shape, something other than the "this is a generic design so we work out the bugs" thing you have now. It works but it could more AWESOME. My suggestion? Take the Jazzmaster and make it modern, sorta akin to what Jackson did with the strat when they made the Soloist. Best of luck to you guys.

Interesting. Guitar still looks traditional / conventional. I have a Gittler Titanium (now called their Classic model) I've owned for several years. It's not traditional or conventional. It looks like the spine of a Terminator fish as there are frets but no fretboard.

That's awesome! I've always wanted to try one of those.
@zoomzoom3950 Жыл бұрын
@@LeonTodd Thanks, I like innovative guitars. My current fav is the EBMM Kaizen 6, I own a few. The Gittler is not as difficult to play as it looks, though thumb and hand position is important as there's a narrow center bar that acts as the neck which holds the frets. I started with a more formal classical approach with my thumb on the bar, which works but isn't necessary, in fact there are more positions available than a standard guitar neck that makes it even more versatile and comfortable to play. Just play it as you do any other guitar, and muscle memory takes over. I think the first time playing it, it took less than an hour to get comfortable with it. It has a volume, treble and bass control which gives it a wide range of tones; and a 13-pin connection. I mostly use it with my SY-1000, but it sounds great with standard output to my other gear, including tube amps. I don't use it as much these days, but I'll never sell it unless it's a real emergency. Cheers!
