10/14/2016 Wasn't even going to go fishing but I made the mistake or right move either or depending on how you look at it to take a look at the water before bed and man was it perfect. Calm water, on a clear full moon night, conditions were right so I skipped bed and went for bass.

love those tsunami eels. I was throwing the small 3/4 oz sand eels last fall and its the only thing that the bass would eat. 10+ bass cast after cast at dead low off a sand bar. Ill always keep them in my plug bag after that night.

Doing some boat fishing around the concrete ships on Eastern Shore Virginia, everyone on the boat caught the limit before 11am. Live eel did the trick. We use to troll and wait for that bump on the rod, slow the boat down and gave the fish about 3 feet of line and it was on. Rocks are not only fun to catch but mighty tasty.

I love those eels I use them all the time and caught plenty of bass on them and blues as long as they didn't tear it up and all type of sizes from 12" up to 28" they work great. Cool video nice fish.

Aen45 thanks man yeah I like the baits for sure but the one thing I don't is the smell of the soft plastic. When i first took it out of the package I was like wow it has a really strong plastic smell and wondered if that would deter bites but nope obviously, now it smells pretty fishy and has over 40 fish in a few nights when this bite was hot. But I always like a soft plastic that has that stinky fish scent additive to the soft plastic like the little Berkley Fatback Shad swimbait thats the little swimbait I was using in the video.
@aen45basshunter96
@aen45basshunter96 7 жыл бұрын
True I wasn't that crazy about the smell either so what I use to do was buy a bottle of gulp recharge or another fish attracting scent and spray it with that just to get rid of that plastic smell. But I haven't really seen much difference in bites anyway either way I got nice hits. But I just thought I give it a try. Keep up the videos love watching them.

yeah thats a good idea with the spray gulp. like you said though for all we know it probably doesn't matter pencil poppers, swimmers, darters, SP minnows, and other plastic and wood plugs don't have smell yet bass eat them so maybe smell is in our heads haha. Thanks anyways, glad to hear you enjoyed the video. tight linezsss!

Nice bass ~ Enjoy your videos. Very surprised you're not wearing some kind of Korker type deal while on those rocks. I'd encourage you to consider it. Taking a tumble out there is no fun; especially at night fishing solo ~ It would make going down to the wet rocks to land the bass a whole lot safer.
@FishAholicTV
@FishAholicTV 7 жыл бұрын
Aj Lynn thanks man:) but I guess because it's a night video and maybe your volume was down it was hard to see or hear but after I caught the first fish to test the water. I went back to the car and for the remainder of the video if you watched it or could hear I was wearing my Strap on Rocktrax plus Korkers. I've been walking on these rocks since I was 5 so I can tell you for me these rocks are very easy to navigate. So I like to check out the water and see if there are a lot of fish in the area to make it worth it for me to fish all night before I get all geared up. There isn't any waves hitting this jetty it's like fishing a pond with rocks around the edge so nothing like montauk light house Tight lines bro I hope your enjoying the fall run. I Always wear my Korkers when need be.

Cool ~ figured it was something like that - like I said - I was surprised - because I was wrong . . . . on another note have you ever used a rigged (dead) eel from the rocks or sand ? - I've had some pretty memorable nights myself throwing "Meat"
@FishAholicTV
@FishAholicTV 7 жыл бұрын
Aj Lynn yeah no biggie always wear the spikes though. Sometimes it's easy just to strap them over my sneakers at least to give me some traction. Especially when fishing the calm inlet. But yeah I've tried throwing dead Eels and live in the surf and it kinda is like "when the bite is on the bite is on!" You could prob through One of the rubber Eels and do well or even a twizzler haha. But I mean I have sworn to never throw away an eel so if you go out fishing in a kayak, boat, surf always save your left overs for rigging a dead bait. Or freeze it for fluke bait, seabass bait, eel lasts forever even once frozen and will still catch fish. I brought an eel to Montauk that was frozen from NJ for a month I rigged it up as a dead bait and just brought it in the kayak for the heck of it and well I bought like 5 live Eels which all got taken out by blues. Threw that dead eel out drifting over the spot. BAM! 35lb bass. Saved the night.

Another great video. I learn a lot from your videos and love the passion. I am not sure why but I have difficulty using the ramseyoutdoor links. I would use them a lot given your great discount you offer, but their website always crashes and constantly reloads (from an iPad) so I look elsewhere. Please pass to them to improve their website and business will pick up!
@FishAholicTV
@FishAholicTV 7 жыл бұрын
thank you glad i can help either way, sorry to hear their website crashes on your Ipad. I'll bring it up to them and try and get it worked out. Sometimes smaller company websites do not work on smart devices. But there are a multitude of problems which can cause websites not to work on smart devices (wifi, old processor etc) I would say try a desktop or lap top computer but If you don't have access to that then however you can find the item you want at the cheapest. I've never had problems on my smart devices (Iphone 6) navigating their site. Thanks for letting me know ill talk to the chief haha Tight Lines!

Awesome video! Subbed. Question: How do you get such great audio?
@FishAholicTV
@FishAholicTV 7 жыл бұрын
Robert Stair wearing two gopro which constantly film I take the audio from my head camera and match it with the image from the camera on my tripod. I can't use a skeleton housing because of the saltwater, wet conditions. All it takes is a little wave to splash up and the cameras then water might destroy my cameras so I just keep them in the water proof housing and use two cameras for good audio.

I've noticed you really don't use 10 foot rods I just bought the airwave elite using your code the 10 foot 6 inch does the 9 foot 3 a better rod in your opinion in terms of the action i still haven't gotten it in the mail yet
@FishAholicTV
@FishAholicTV 7 жыл бұрын
Growing up I always used a ten foot rod before I started filming and I have nothing against them but I just like the slightly shorter and lighter rod. Also because I fish below Montauk lighthouse a lot and sometimes you fish in a spot with not much room behind you. But in some situations I wish had a longer rod for extra distance. I compensate the length in rod though by using lighter braided line. When I dropped down to a 9' Triumph and 9'3" Tsunami I switched from 50lb Braid to 40lb and believe me it made a big difference in distance. Glad to hear you ordered the rod Thanks man! Hopefully you put it to good use.

Thomas Fenaroli in the hospital as a type made it through surgery last night and hopefully it prevents another incident. I was out off Montauk Light house when it collapsed this time in my kayak so if I want to keep living that life I needed the surgery for sure. Thanks for asking bro:)
