The past summer everyone was saying that was the best transfer window we had the last 5 years. Including myself.. Turns out we are worse off? I think the problem is that we downgrade a lot and rarely upgrade. And while doing terrible business too! For example we lost de gea for free and downgraded to a £44m Onana. Then we lost several good strikers for free or super cheap and got Hojlund(who can develop but won’t under these circumstances) for a whopping £72 mil. Lost Sancho on the cheap while costed us a fortune, all while had a great winger Amad on loan/bench and yet we went and paid £86m for Fidget Spinner to later on bench him. Way more examples on that like Varane and more and don’t get me started on Pogba. I won’t even start on the salaries.. All our super expensive ‘upgrades’ are really terrible downgrades really. Feels like a scam that only adds in our big black debt hole. The stadium is leaking on top of all and morale is low amongst everyone in the club. Mentally of these players isn’t aligning with the club values and owners are mostly clueless. Literally SHAMBLES! It’d take years to rebuild IF THE RIGHT PEOPLE STAY THROUGH THE STORM to take us through.. Good luck..

I thought we played well today in the first half from back to front, but lacked fluidity in the final third, Rasmussen frustrated with Amad & Mainoo a few times for the final ball. But the sending off changed the game & Onana needs to do better. We’re beating ourselves at the moment, rather than the opposition beating us. There was an obvious improvement in work rate, better pressing & desire to win the ball. So improvements being made, but unfortunately still to many individual errors of judgement!

I’ve observed the backline did improve compared to start on Amorim reign. They held it well. The centre midfielders held well to win balls. But the 3rd quarter and forth upfront is bad! Just sell the players who aren't good enough, and buy ones who are. People say that like it's that easy. It isn't. First, who's going to pay decent money for players who have been consistently poor for 18 months or more? Second, who of those can afford their salaries to convince them to leave? Third, we've been fairly poor in scouting and recruitment for years. Fourth, who can we realistically afford? The biggest obstacle is the fact that, with the debt and over a decade of mismanagement from the top down, we're skirting very close to breaching FFP/PSR, so even if there's money available from INEOS, we can't spend it without breaking the rules and being hit with some sort of punishment (we're not City, who can buy their way out of anything). All of that makes rebuilding a massive job that's likely to take a very long time.

Juventus and Bayern both kept him on the bench. And those clubs did badly those seasons. He seems to be a go-getter, who really wants to do well and rise to the top of his profession. Man United management f'ed it up really bad for me. Extending Ten Hag in the summer, scouting and signing new players and then panic sacking ETH after the West Ham game in which they were on top, missed open chances and got a ridiculous penalty against them. Nothing ETH could have helped and they sacked him. I think it was stupid, I mean: they extended ETH and signed Hake and Ruud and within 3 months they're out). But not only that, then they pick a coach with a different tactical plan and they need to learn new playing style in the busiest time of the season when there is no time to really practice. Of course they struggle. ETH was sacked because he was 12th now they're close to being 15th in the EPL. They should have allowed ETH to fix it. He would have. And if they would still be unhappy, get Amorim in the summer allowing him to work for weeks on this system. Now, the mood gets worse, players get demotivated. the Man U image gets tainted, Amorim gets frustrated, sponsorts get frustrated, fans feel let down and the rest is laughing their socks off. Really really bad management by Sir Jim and Co. And while all this is happening, they cancel the pettiest expenses for the people who do the real work. Shame on Man United.

The system is good. But the wingbacks must be very fast in running and never stop running. The two tens have to be direct not inverted. That's where the biggest problem lies.
