I was not expecting this...my dear friend Ruben Buijs reacting to PFM, probably the greatest italian progressive band, which was introduced to me by my father when I was a little kid...Man, this made my day! They're definitely the Italian Genesis, for sure! I was tempted to suggest you some of their work, but always unsure of that... Well, I surely will from now on! P.S.: Yes, "la luna nuova" means "the new moon" and you pronounced their name almost correctly! It''s just "Fornerìa" with the accent on the "i", but for a non-Italian you were pretty good! :)

Cool choice! Speaking of great Italian prog bands you can also check out Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, for example their song "Canto nomade per un prigioniero politico". Fantastic composition and virtuous playing!

PFM were great fans of Gentle Giant.... saw them wearing GG T-Shirts back in the 70's.... and indeed I think there are some similarities here and there.

@@luciomingon3342nel progressive degli anni '70 ci sono molte assonanze tra i vari gruppi italiani e stranieri. Ma se vuole documentarsi potrebbe trovare nel web varie immagini delle Orme insieme ai Genesis e l'intervista dove Peter Gabriel dichiara che nei primi anni '70 alcuni loro brani trovarono ispirazione dalle Orme ( e non il contrario ...come a qualche esterofilo verrebbe da pensare )
