You know what I liked about this reaction?? At 6:19 you grabbed your drink, but never took a drink until the end of the song. You appear to want to take a drink, but David's solo says "uh uh. Not yet." A couple seconds later, you try again...same result. I loved it. The guitar solo wouldn't let you go until "it" said so. That's the POWER of talently played music.

This was just adorable. You looked like a child at Christmas eve, staring happily on the tree, not knowing which present to open first. One of your best reactions so far, always a joy to watch as the music takes over your body and flows through it. Don't worry about being "late". I've known them since my teenage years, yet I'm still too young to be able to see them live. But that doesn't mean we've lost anything by not knowing some bands earlier ; music is timeless, it waits for the right moment to meet you. =) Speaking of which, I told you once that you introduced me to Devin Townsend around 2 years ago, and I also felt that I was "too late for the party". Next weekend I'm going too see him live. All thanks to you. Keep exploring and introducing good music, my friend. We're grateful to you.

I think that Pink Floyd's music is almost universal. It's hard not to appreciate the quality of it even if you don't like the style of it. I think part of their success is that the music is very simple and anyone who can play a guitar can learn the songs but it is nearly impossible to get that same feel and emotion that Gilmour can extract from a guitar which brings the songs to life.
@pesthlm4 жыл бұрын
Nice to see your reaction, you barely got the whiskey in you (what I think you had). The PULSE production is absolutely wonderful, among the best PF done I think. A little fun is that Sam Brown sings in the middle of the choir. A fantastic music, straight across. David my music hero for a long time now. Hope you then came to a nice party. It might be a long road ahead but such a rewarding road. So glad you enjoyed it so much. All of Dave Gilmour's playing is as emotional but, as you so clearly said, the guitar said it's own thing as well as the lyrics. That is what he is so good at. He changes his style to suit the song all the time. Hard, soft, fast, slow. The rest of the band are great as well, the original drummer and the original keyboard player as well as a supporting cast. Keep on rocking.

I have subscribed, quite a while ago and enjoy each and every visit that I make to your channel.while I could name so many, I would like to name one song that I think that you would appreciate, is "Sorrow," I believe that they performed it at this same "Pulse Concert" too. So it is very close to you now. I really do think that you will enjoy this song as deeply as any other. David Gilmour Is amazing how he gets his guitar to sound so much like "Sorrow" feels?! Please react to this song? Thanks and I hope that you remain Well & reasonably Happy. Keep Smiling...

Totally agree with your observation that the guitar playing tells its own story. And it is sublime guitar playing. As three out of your last four PF reactions have been to the Pulse versions, may I suggest that you continue in the same vein with the Pulse versions of One of These Days (from the album Meddle which you have not reacted to yet) and Run Like Hell (one of the few tracks worth listening to on The Wall - cue hate from RW fanboys, but I don't care). A visual and auditory feast of epic proportions awaits you and in some circles it could be considered a sin were you to deny yourself the experience, naturally at the earliest opportunity that presents itself. Really enjoy your reactions; very thoughtful and honestly emotional.

I agree with "Megadeth mastermind Dave Mustaine [who] shared praises of Pink Floyd guitar master David Gilmour, calling him vastly superior to a solid portion of today's "shredders." Dave told Premiere Guitar during a recent interview: "When you live, breathe, and feel the song that you're writing, the song pretty much tells you what it needs. "I'm not a believer that a solo has to be shredding with a wang bar, though I think a lot of people do some really great work with that. "I'm of the belief that a player like David Gilmour could do more with one note than some of today's shredders can do with a dozen."

My favorite thing about division bell is falling asleep to it at night. It literally ebbs and flows with the stages of leaving the consciousness of being awake and slipping into dream land and rem state. Very rarely did i make it to the last song while still being cognitively aware. Parts in the CD prick you enough to insert music and lulls you back to r.e.m. state. Outside of that, these songs aren't as powerful as alot of floyd stuff prior to Division Bell. The band knew it thats why they added all the songs on the pulse tour that weren't division bell. That album wasn't as successful as songs like comfortably numb. My suggestion is to listen to the division bell cd while going to bed for a week concentrate on the words and music and by the end of the week you'll see the real journey of the Division Bell album.

You gotta let us watch you review that one....PLEASE. Be Safe.

You need to dive deeper into earlier Pink Floyd. Even the best post Roger Waters song pales in comparison to anything they did with him. I like some of the Gilmour Floyd, but Waters, to me, is the greatest songwriter of all time. If you want to see some great live Floyd, watch Live at Pompeii (the original one, not the Gilmour one).
