as much as I respect Rubens freedom of speech and choices even though I myself do not share them I could tell months ago when he started this that it would end badly, most influencers who engage in some form of Us vs them mentality usually forget that it does not take much to influence people to do stupid things even things that result in violence. I'm not a furry myself, but it's important to note that being a furry most of the time does not mean they think they're animals, but they enjoy anthropomorphic animals as a form of self-expression and creativity. Also... the weird barking thing people talk about sometimes??? I haven't heard many furries 'bark' but while some furries may choose to incorporate animal sounds or vocalizations into their costumes or performances, it is not a defining characteristic of the furry fandom. While some individuals within the furry fandom may feel a strong connection to animal characters and identify as "therianthropic", ( and i don't fucking like that too lol) this is not representative of the majority of the fandom, all fandoms have a bad part, yeah? The furry fandom provides a community for individuals who enjoy anthropomorphic animals, whether it be through artwork, costumes, literature, or other forms of creative expression. Even if the community may have a tainted reputation, its still a community , where someone feels they should belong.
