Rubicon Trail 05/21/21

Went into Rubicon Friday night and did a night run to soup bowl and camp there around 3am. Woke up Saturday morning with some light snow. Worked our way to Buck Island and came back home Saturday night due to the weather and we had little kids with us. Overall we all had a great time despite the carnage which made this trip even more interesting. Enjoy the show!!!!

Love your sense of adventure making the run at night. I've been running the Rubicon since '89 in my FJ 40 and miss doing it with my kids. Good on you for raising the next generation of 4wheelers. God Bless and safe travels. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Kevin, thanks for the compliment. Wow you started wheeling the Con when I was only 3 years old then… man that’s awesome. Yes, I try to get my kids out door as much as I can and especially 4wheeling and learning how to adapt to Mother Nature incase one day a zombie apocalypse happen and we may have to put these skills to use…. 😂 thanks for the view and have a wonderful rest of the year!

Yes sir... I like night run more due to I can’t see how big the rocks are.... for that it gives us more confidence. 😂

lol at 9:37 . With the right line little sluice can be as long as you plan ahead for the next rock, but with the slightly off line it can just jack you up lol. I've seen my friends cruise through right through it. And its super easy compared to what it used to be like before they broke up a bunch of rock and filled in a bunch on it. I've only heard stories and seen pictures of what it was like before.

The Red 4runner is set up with all Toyota running gears. Just the housing is a Trail Gear Rock Assault housing.

Too much wheel hop, plus when everything else’s is chromoly out and the wheel studs are still stock. 😂
