Absolutely love this, Jenn! Cannot wait to make one! My only suggestion would be to describe how to cut the cake (i.e., to mention that one must cut the cake crosswise and to suggest how to mark/identify the correct ends from which one must cut the cake to ensure that each slice is a 3x3 multi-color grid and not tri-color bands).

Attempting to make this cake on Saturday, how would you do it so which ever side you cut, you get all 9 squares. I can only think if like you cut the individual squares and stick them together, then stack the 2nd and 3rd layer. No other easier way???

Once the first cube was frozen, I'd slice it into three sections, then buttercream them back together in another direction, as in, give each slice a quarter turn so it also looks like a cube inside the cake.

the rubix cube is fake at 6:22, the cake on the left has 2 white pieces next to each other on the corner and the same with the orange. a corner piece must have 3 different coloured piees. the most famous one? white, blue and red.

how would it look if you cut it length wise because your mold is rectangular. If you cut your cube the other way wouldn't it look sort of bad. if so how could you avoid that?

I recommend making your own "simple syrup" 1 part water and 1 part sugar and boil on stove top. Let cool and put it in a squirt bottle and but it in between cakes before you freeze the cakes because the freezing takes away the moistness from the cake and the simple syrup makes it stay sweet and moist

Love this idea, so simple and easy to try unlike other cake videos I've seen. However the OCD inside of me is having a two way fight. One part is saying all sides should be the same colour and the other part is saying to cut the strips into cubes so when you cut threw the middle the three slices aren't the same pattern. But brilliant idea all the same. Well done
