Some video is out there that says that Sowell cites various things to support his claims, but this critic of Sowell said that he fact-checked those things and found them wanting in terms of proving anything about the claims. This implies that one or two layers deep in the information that Sowell is making up some of his stuff. I could not easily verify this critic of Sowell's claims. Until those questions are proven or disproven, it shall remain a question in my mind until some video comes out and demolishes those critical remarks as unfounded and politically motivated or whatnot. Socialism devotees are relentless in making their false claims--this could just be another in a long list?

A very lovely Mexican family bought a house and moved into my neighborhood. They work, have a very well mannered son, and are fixing up the house and beautifully landscaping their yard. I don’t know how long this family has been in America, but they are a model family that appears to be melting into the melting pot. Australia outsourced government services and the result was higher costs to the public but, reduced costs to the government which enables them to give more taxpayer money overseas

Outsourcing services overseas is even worse than keeping it in government. A. You are taking tax payers dollars out the Australian economy spending it elsewhere so your economy is getting smaller. B. You are employing foreigners not Australian citizens so you are exasperated unemployment for Australians. C. By taking it overseas you are denying competition for Australia companies to compete for products and services thus reducing costs to the Australian people. Javier Melei is 100% correct. Privatising does not just mean giving it to one company, that would make it a monopoly. You allow private companies to compete and allow the Australian citizen to choose. If you give to one or two you are basically making it a monopoly.

In Australia, this is true of water services, electricity production-distribution and other things with massive sunk capital costs due to low population density (because of low land fecundity and marginal precipitation relative to Europe and the Americas - oldest most eroded continent in the world).

I so feel your pain and angst, Dave. The Dems accuse Trump and the GOP of exactly what they do and have done. Only we who listen EVERYDAY to BOTH sides, as you have to, know the tangled web of lies and deceit being woven to cover their chicanery.
