Naw, it was more about various Asian countries being biased against the others. South Park implying they all despise each other might be offensive to all Asians generally. Dave's playing CYA.

@@Ivan.A.Churlyuski kinda the point. The guy who he apologized to is the wrong type of asian from the clip. Also, don't misunderstand. I don't actually care. I just thought the observation was funny. I could absolutely see a rural school have two asians make a stupid rally presentation about history and culture. It was the exact flavor of cringe that is believable. compared to that backdrop Dave's comment was more racist than "most offensive south park videos p2"

In 1999 my girlfriend returned my call and apologized for not calling me back sooner. She told me she had just come back from Blockbuster where she rented a video for her eleven year old son to watch. When she told me it was South Park I replied "Uh, are you sure you want him to watch that?" She asked why not. "Well it's kind of..adult oriented." Knowing that I had a wicked sense of humor she dropped the receiver to the floor and yelled out the name of her son. She called me back later and thanked me for the heads up on South Park. I wonder if that kid still hates me.

The Elmo bit, is particularly relevant and hits extra hard ('I'll rochambeau you for it'), due to the fact that Elmo made his little red fluffy ass into the headlines, once again, here recently, and because one of his voice actors turns out happened to be a predator preying on juvenile (NOT the rapper) males using basically a H. Weinstein power dynamic near-empty promise abusive approach luring or tempting potential hires/victims, manipulating and taking advantage and assaulting many of them. But with the Elmo just sold me fentanyl behind the Walmart or 7-11 thing, spawning from a tweet by a "concerned" Elmo asking people how they were doing it almosts feels like this was a double whammy...or a by-one-get-one freebie because of it!
