Her parents would be very proud of their daughter's voice performance as Ruby Gillman. Not many folks know about this but she never knew her birth parents. She was Born in Vietnam on May 11, 1997, she lived her first months in an orphanage in Cần Thơ under the name "Trần Đồng Lan". But on October 6, 1997, she was adopted and renamed by American parents Mary Carol Condor (née Haubold) and Bob Condor in Chicago, Illinois. Lana Condor has a brother, Arthur, who is three months older and was adopted from the same orphanage. Lana Condor and her family lived in Whidbey Island, Washington, and New York City. You know I never thought about it before but everything they did was for her they're the only family she's ever known. I hope her mom "Mary Carol Condor" might have seen her daughter's vocal performance and release of the 2023 DreamWorks film Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken before her she died in July 2024, may she rest in peace. “I keep thinking that you’ll call me right back. I keep thinking that I still have you here. I want, I need, you to know that every good thing I am, is because of you,” - Lana Condor AKA Ruby Gillman.
