8.0- 8.2 with the new heads, Leroy can run that all day, and with that power glide Ruby’s gonna be able to do it as well.

Get the fuck out of here. It's not running 8.0s with heads. It will push another head gasket before that happens. You guys expect to much most of the time or never ran a car this fast and don't understand how much it takes to go just a little bit faster. Great job so far but people need to be reasonable with their expectations. It's only a 5.3 stock crank and block. There's limits if you want to make more then 1 pass. Rock Mountain is about constancy not 1 pass. Their very close to the limits of this motor even with better heads. Good thing is they can make the same power will less boost which will make running 8.60 easier but turning it up much more will cause problems. It will go faster but not 8.0. With that converter it will take a lot more power to see the mph they did before to. They need 169mph at least to run close to 8.0s. Just not happening with this setup.

Just so we are clear by the way. I'm not hating on Ruby. Just be honest about what is and isn't possible with the new heads. The motor is still limited to what power it will handle. If they hand a different short block this would be a different combination. Also the faster you go the more power you make the harder it is getting down the track. Having the power is only part of the process. Without sensors on the drivetrain like I've ran they can't see how much he's driving threw the converter which is very important. They mostly are making the same or more power but won't see it in the mph because of the converter. Just because you have a glide and a turbo doesn't mean it's easy. Running high to mid 8s is a walk in the park. When you get into the 8.20 and faster range your now walking in a mud field. Hopefully they didn't hurt more then just a head gasket.

Funny thing, when I had my pic taken with Cleetus, Cooper was going to take it, but I said I wanted him in the pic too. He was still just kind of the sidekick and people weren't getting in the pics. Pretty sure the 'guy' Cleetus called over to take the pic was James. So, who is gonna take the next pic when I meet them again?

I love it when I get to hit pause and take a look at the 1/8th mile time and mph on your timeslip or when yall are discussing the pass and I hear one of you say it. I'm in one of those locations that the only local tracks in all directions are 1/8th mile😒 so I speak much more fluently in 1/8th mile language than I do in the 1/4 mile tongue 😎. Love all the videos! Keep up the good work!

Been waiting for this video for what seemed forever, but well worth the wait! So happy for you guys. Your determination and amazing attitude’s are what make this channel the best on KZbin!!
