We are getting married in Maui in October 2021 and this video was super helpful! I love the postcard idea, playing music during dinner, and having a brochure with each wedding guest and who they are.

I like the idea of an unplugged ceremony & phones out at the reception evening party!

This video is great! Your wedding is going to be one to remember after all these ideas. One wedding I went to had a silhouette artist walking around the reception with paper and scissors, making guests silhouettes on the spot! Another idea is having an artist at the back of the ceremony so you have a beautiful painting or drawing afterwards - seen some really lovely ones of these. I think phones at a ceremony aren’t that bad if you don’t mind it but seen a few people taking pics with ipads 🙃🙃 what a no go. Can you tell I love weddings 😅💓

For my cousins wedding I think we were asked not to take photos but then we were invited to take photos at an appropriate time which was nice!

My friend did a cool 'make your own cocktail' thing which was just a base of Gin and then a table set up with loads of glass jars with all the different things to infuse it with and garnishes. It looked lovely and worked really well. Gin with real florals is by far the prettiest of cocktails, lol. ❤️

Getting married in Mexico and we are having an unplugged ceremony as our photographers and videographer are so expensive and I just don't like phones in general! We are also doing a first look. It's v American and I'm from UK but I want it to calm my nerves before having everyone looking at me plus it allows more time for photos. We are having little coffee favours because we both love coffee - I think favours should reflect what you two are like as a couple. This video was fab though and definitely given me some ideas on areas I was struggling with! Thank you and all the best wedding planning! 😘

Loved this video! I was meant to be getting married the start of June this year but we have now had to postpone until June 2023 now which isn't the best but watching this got me excited to get stuck in to planning even more cute exciting things for when we can finally go ahead 🥰

We are having an unplugged ceremony at our Mallorca wedding this summer. Though, we will ask our celebrant to announce towards the end of the ceremony, to invite guest to take a snap shot in a brief amount of time if they wish, before putting phones back away again. I do want everyone to be truly present in the moment and not watch the wedding through a screen. And photographers are expensive! So I’d be gutted to have iPhone screens in the background, foreground, in focus, out of focus, anywhere really! Also #wedinthemed

I went to a wedding with those instant photos and they had a little section with sharpies to write on the bottom and a wee box with a slot to put them in! also had small hearts to write on too. the front was glass so you could see them all :)

side to this, still watching. At the same Wedding the photographer just said no photos now please and it allowed for photos for that at moments then allowed those to take their own :)

Definitely an unplugged ceremony, otherwise when you walk down the aisle you’ll only see people’s iPhones instead of people’s faces.

We had the cameras, it was a great idea, however a couple of them were NOT turned in, it was upsetting, also instead of dust collectors for favors, we did a vintage candy buffet, we had to get prior authorization from the hotel, since they considered it edibles, etc. it was not problem, the hotel made it look like a construction zone, during the reception announcer stated please excuse the mess, we are having a last minute construction issue, we played it off real good, it was set up with many different types and sizes of glass jars, vases, etc. full of different candies, We ordered our candy from a site, I believe was called vintage candy, wax juice bottles, candied lips, etc. we had bags with our names and wedding date printed, guest filled up, when they announced we have a surprise, it’s Not a construction site, the bride and groom have a sweet surprise for you all, wedding planner rolled back and took down prompts, the guest shrieked laughed and were heard saying YUM! And clapped, it was a real hit.

I did disposable cameras at my wedding and don't recommended it was a waste of money, with phones being so good now days just ask your guest to send you their pictures.
