Those little bags remind me of German M39 A-frame pouches. nifty little things.

I just "Googled" the A-Frame Pouches and you are correct! Very Similar! I am a huge fan of German WWII Field Gear! I own an M42 reversible Oak Leaf Pattern Smock it's an amazing piece of kit!

You just extended the mission parameters for that pack system! Modularity is king!

Using them on the side instead of placing them on the front is much better because its keepin the load closer to you
@boonedockery72203 жыл бұрын
Agreed! Its just a matter of creating a way to mount them securely.

The waist pack is probably one of the best pieces of gear in the whole Molle system!...woods

John that was some serious southern ingenuity as we would call it. Nice going on using what you have, and putting it to good use. You know I have got yo get me one of those small waist bags. You know I have a highlander forces 25 one of the old ones before they put anything on the front small zipper pocket, and I looove bags I really do. But sometimes my old butt has to do that loong hobble down to CVS n such and I'm telling you that cane of mine even feels like it gains weight on the trip you know lol... so a wee bag like that when I only need to get a few things might be right up my alley. Oh hey don't forget to look into possibly investing into a temp strap that will go over the top of the box and attach to the frame and maybe go down outside and attach at bottom in case God forbid you take a bad spill and it goes head over heels... You know what I mean and I am not wishing any bad juju by any means brother I was just thinking about you is all.. Well much love to the fam and you keep having fun... Kyle

Thanks Kyle! I did actually use two straps down from top to bottom and they really helped! The M.O.L.L.E. waist packs can be found pretty cheap in woodland and ACU. The OCP/Multicam ones cost a good bit more. Check eBay. That's where I purchased mine. Have a great evening Kyle!

you can also hang 1 or two "fanny packs' (three day traing field pack ) on each of the sides and carry a full camp
@boonedockery72203 жыл бұрын
I had originally purchased them to possibly hang on the sides of the Thor III. I think you'll like a configuration I set up in an upcoming video.
@badhat30513 жыл бұрын
@@boonedockery7220 by hanging 6 butt packs (2 to each side and two on the front) you'd have enough gear for a 3 day over nighter

There are of course 3 prior to this and a 5th is finished and scheduled for viewing the 15th. The next video scheduled for this Sunday is on my Wild Camp Cache and next Wednesdays is a DIY Ghillie Blanket video (camo for my cache).

You could probably put 2 more of those pouches on there , 1 vertically on the left and right of the ammo can ..

I agree! I have an idea in mind that will require a little sewing but haven't had time to do it, it pertains to this idea. Thanks for commenting!

Thank´s for showing your Ideas. lm keen on Rucksacks too. Especialy the US Military one. Watching this Video made me thinking would it not be beneficial to add US MOLLE Sustainment Pouches to the left and right Side of the Ammo Can as addition to the two MOLLE Waist Packs?! Regards from Germany!
@boonedockery72202 жыл бұрын
That is a great Idea. The challenge in that is stability. MOLLE straps pulling down on the relatively soft waist pack belt straps. If I could produce light weight, ridged side panels with MOLLE webbing on them to place on either side of the ammo cans, held in place by the waist pack belts, That would do the trick. The sustainment pouches really provide a lot of extra pack space! Vielen Dank! Hab einen schönen Tag!

@@boonedockery7220 Maybe the "Berghaus MMPS MOLLE Pad" will be a possibility to clear the issue... You speak German?! Like that... :)

I love those waist packs! Who makes those Multicam shoulder and waist straps? Thanks
@boonedockery72202 жыл бұрын
Dan, The shoulder straps are from Fire Force Gear. Those shoulder straps are top notch and very well made! The waist belt is from Hill People Gear. I have found them to be mediocre at best. I wish I would have ordered them from Fire Force, however they were out of stock when I wanted to order them. The waist packs are G.I. Issue and are very good quality. They could be much better, however they have to produce at the best quality for the least price in order to get the gov. contract. I hope this reply finds you well and thank you very much for posting this comment! I'm certain many others have had the same questions. Have a great evening!

I'm having trouble finding that panel. Also can you use the plastic ruck frame with same panel?

Jeff, I have never seen another like it. The ones the seller had may have been either limited run or prototypes. If I do run across more, I will definitely spread the word!

Now, David, I appreciate your observations😉👍 Also, John has been expanding. I quit a couple bad habits about a year ago and I started putting on the pounds and sadly, they haven't gone away. I know I need to loose at least twenty pounds. Just a matter of getting serious about it. Have a great evening David!
