It's a VERY good thing for us that the only salvation God gives lasts for eternity. God's salvation is based totally on God's grace, not our ability to keep ourselves saved. It can't be lost and there is absolutely nothing we can do to undo it. If you are not saved forever you are not saved at all. God gives only eternal life, not until you sin again. I've been saved since 1977 and I can honestly say I don't doubt it, even though I've been far from perfect all this time. I can't imagine the thoughts of the person who thinks they can lose their salvation at any moment. It is not scriptural. The real heresy is to believe you aren't saved and secure forever.

Yeah believing you can lose your salvation is madness and it is caused by their corruption of the gospel or false gospel. I was in church my whole life. I went to Christian school. But I never heard about once saved always saved until last year. Isn't that something?

@@snackpup Yes, it is something. When I got saved back in 1977 I had never in my life heard anything about losing your salvation. Fortunately for me, nobody put that unscriptural heresy in my head. God gave me great assurance and as I read the Bible for the first time in my life I just got more and more assured that I was saved and could never lose it. I still believe that now 45 years later. When God promises to give you eternal life and that you will "never perish" that is precisely what He means.

I've had a hard time convincing anyone of anything. Maybe I'm not wise, but I'm wise enough to trust Jesus Christ. But it took me getting in the Bible myself and knowing truth to develop the faith. How do you get all it took for me to surrender into someone that don't want to hear it?

Yeah same here. I've been telling people about Jesus for years but never had anyone take the offer. They all know the story and reject it one way or another. Whether they are religious or not. And the only ones who have accepted it have already accepted it prior to me. I heard this preacher say once that he would have some good news for a sinner. But the problem is you can't find any sinners anymore. Everyone thinks they are good enough. Anyways I hope this encourages you that I too am like you. Maybe this is the fulness of the gentiles like the Bible says. Where most people know the story but simply refuse it. I mean its not like they can't look up with their phone in 2 seconds how to go to heaven by faith in Jesus. I go to lost people they say no thanks. I go to religious people they say its not fair that some people can go to heaven for free. Strange world we live in now
