I half expected a 3v3 in the combat simulator for the final challenge. Or a three wave fight where to take on the Turks one at a time.

Reno and Rude always have the most intense theme. First in Remake and now Rebirth. Really emphasizes the fact that while they might offer some comic relief at times, you really cannot take these guys lightly at all when they're fighting together.

I just realized. Slowly, the Turks battle theme gets a lot more "Normal FF7 Battle Theme" vibes. Meaning, slowly, these Turks won't be a fighting problem in the later story. And in AC, Cloud can easily push away Reno alone.

The Turks really always relied mainly on their technology and wits to win fights. If Chadley were working for them instead of Cloud, they'd probably stay relevant. Reno would turn into a materia hoarder like Yuffie!

I have such a weird respect for the Turks as characters... They don't have a Gun for an arm, Jenova cells or whatever bullshit main characters have, They are just regular humans just like Tifa and Yuffie that are really good at fighting and they can stand toe to toe with enhanced humans, monsters and the last Cetra. I love how you can probably get a full game out their dynamic, mission centric nature and even their different fighting styles

Remake and Rebirth really took the best approach when it came to the Turks, especially Reno & Rude. They're not "just" ruthless assholes who end up being not a threat anymore like they were in the original, and they're not a simple comic relief like they were in Advent Children. They are charismatic, they are hilarious, they are goofy as hell... but can, and WILL, kick your ass if you take them lightly.
