Hard to believe I posted this three weeks ago, this was basically my start at creating mashups/experimenting with audio mixing! I really appreciate everyone who found this and enjoyed it. :) This comment is long overdue, but better late than never, I suppose... this ended up becoming the last piece of a bigger megamix I made for One-Winged Angel! People who think Vergil can beat Sephiroth are dead wrong, 1. Sephiroth is canonically an entity that cannot be truly killed. 2 Sephiroth is just better. 3. This epic mash-up good job!

People also argue for Vergil that he would speedblitz Sephiroth, and I say they are wrong, because Sephiroth walked in a plane where time doesn’t exist, therefore he’s able to comprehend that naturally.

i think vergil vs the remake trilogy sephiroth is a different story entirely, I cant comment on vergils abilities as ive yet to play dmc, but its clears that this version of sephiroth would put up a much better fight than the og

So I do wanna say that up to and including Devil May Cry 5 and Final Fantasy 7 (OG and Remakes), These are entirely different power scales. Vergil is a speed demon, so everything he does is fast, and that's not including SDT or DT. Vergil is still a force to be reckoned with due to the sheer power he has. Let's look at his fight in DMC 3 with Dante. They struck so fast that the rain didn't even touch them for quite some time. He's only gotten stronger in 5, where those abilities were enhanced. Now Sephiroth is also a fast striker given his circumstances of birth from the Jenova Project. He seems to be innately capable of magic and other skills that no other soldier is capable of. Falling into the Lifestream and REJECTING it is a badass move, using and ASSIMILATING Jenova is a powerful feat. But Sephiroth lacks what Vergil eventually learned. Compassion. Sure, Vergil threw it all away, but he was more than willing to try by the end of 5, even looking back on his life, something he has NEVER done prior. They are definitely imo very close in power, but I think Vergil is slightly more powerful.

You see the 2 convey 2 different emotions yet the same. Remake tells you that you are going up against someone too powerful to stand a chance against. You feel confident cause you just killed the harbinger of fate then you hear the first 5 notes. You can tell he is barely trying and he can decimate you. You are terrified. Rebirth makes you feel confident you can take him. You took out Jenova and his reborn form. You are confident you got his ass this time. Then when Aerith pops up to help, he gets serious. Your confidence is gone and all you can do is try to survive. You thought that he would be a little weaker seeing the amount of damage he took but he is still kicking you ass. You are feeling dread right now and it doesn't help that your 1 partner is slow at dodging. During both of these, you have confidence that nothing can stop you and why should, you just kill the Harbinger of Fate in one and in the other, you killed Jenova lifebringer and many phases of Sephiroth. You confidence is then easily shattered upon hearing the first 5 notes. The Latin then tells you how fucked you are. You feel like a kid fighting him in the original(even if you never had the console).

Considering Sephiroth only aims for the player controlled character, it's really not a problem that she is slow at dodging, plus you fought him by yourself before, honestly if anything the rebirth one feels like letting your rage flow to attack and kill Sephiroth, looking at it as cloud

Ngl one winged angel Reborn wasn’t scary like Rebirth was to me, it was tense but Aerith’s arrival was a massive confidence boost

It might be the OG final fantasy one winged angel arrangement but would still have the same orchestral playing.

I love how this sounds and just like you I too cannot wait for part 3 of remake to make a ultimate mix of all the main Versions of one winged angel 1. Distant Worlds/Dissidia Orchestra OWA 2. The World’s Enemy 3. Advent Complete OWA 4. Rebirth 5. Reborn 6. Remake Part 3 Your edit is a lot cleaner than the one I made it’s the only video I’ve ever made 💀 Idk I doubt I’ll make more but I had my attempt a few years back on mixing versions of OWA it’s a little lazy and I for sure would love to try again especially since I was waiting for someone to make a mashup to Reborn and Rebirth and you did that

Thanks so much! I'll admit it took some time to get the transitions right, but I'm proud of how it turned out. Just checked out your mix of all the "main" OWA themes, it's great for a first video! I'd definitely recommend to try again, see how your vision of the mix evolved from the time you first made it. Looking at your concept is making me interested in making my own interpretation of what you did, so if I decide to make a mix like yours I'll definitely credit you for the inspiration!

@@brandyrohrer4703 well I didn’t include the Record keeper nor Kingdom hearts version of OWA due to them just being identical to the original with the only difference be that it skips the beginning and gets straight towards the vocals

Could you maybe try doing One Winged Angel Rebirth or Reborn and White Winged Angel from ever crisis?

I have plans to do another mix that'll try to include anything and everything OWA, and Ever Crisis will definitely be part of that. If you want me to mix those specific tracks you mentioned, I'll keep it in mind and will make it sometime in the future!

For the final ‘One Winged Angel’ I’m expecting shenanigans. The orchestra will be everywhere, pure chaos! The orchestra will be playing and will need personal assistants to throw water on the string section to cool them down! 😂
