They're NOT "French". Living in a country doesn't make you part of that race.
@LondonCityWalks9 күн бұрын
@@user-jo5ml8et1z In the video, I asked them where they are from - they responded: "France". To have travelled from France to London they would have needed a passport, ergo they are very likely to be French citizens.

Smiler doing a brilliant job again today. He really has the balance between authority and friendliness spot on. Lovely how he treated the lady asking about the height of the horse. He is a credit to HCav. The crowds are too much for me today though. I admire how you make it look so easy manoeuvring through that throng. Loved the goings on there today. Great video.

Good morning John, and all our London City Walk Family, I've really missed y'all! I've been unwell since week ago Thursday. I have no idea what I had. Just glad I'm on the road to healing and glad to be back. I see people are still as obnoxious as ever. They upset me so. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Stay safe, and healthy. Hugs and love from Texas ♥️ xoxo

But he was still on it with telling tourists to stay back from inside the box. Seems a nice person . Poor horse looked so bored and fed up . Couldn't help notice he was looking for the lady trooper who swapped places with him, at change over, and spoke to her with his lovely smile, and was heard to say, see you in an hr. Is she related or girlfriend.🤔 ❤

If you want participatory tourists, visit Denmark and go to the island of Bornholm, where you, can get on a ferry to the easternmost islands in Denmark, Ertholmene. In the summer a group of voluntary singers sing you a little song from the pier as the ferry sets off, and they are clapped and cheered on by the passengers on the ferry. It’s very lovely (and Ertholmene is an absolutely fascinating place to visit, as well). :)

They do , many of them will be out at Melton Mowbray Defence Animal Training Regiment for several weeks for their winter break , those horses that have been clipped will have just come back to Hyde Park Barracks where they are based . They also get a summer break which is when The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery take over . There are some excellent videos of them on the beach in Norfolk , and in 2023 at Yellowcraig Beach Scotland when they were there as part of the Coronation 😀

Good morning John I can hardly wait to see what the blimey tourists are going to disrespect the guards
@Tannys-x5h9 күн бұрын
There are still too many tourists thinking they are entitled to do what they want when they want. They need to start limiting the numbers that come in from Buckingham Palace they already saw the changing of the guard they don't need to see it again. If they don't do research about the country they visit than go somewhere else. This is not Disneyland or Disney World it's a Military Barracks treat the guards and horses with respect.
@kathellison80849 күн бұрын
To limit the numbers coming from Buckingham Palace the gates to the Parade ground would have to be closed which they only do if there is a special occasion on the Parade ground or like the other day an official military visit . As traditionally Horse Guards is the official entrance to Buckingham Palace so a public right of way that's not going to happen . Tourists would go along King Charles Street and end up at the front !
@Tannys-x5h9 күн бұрын
@kathellison8084 It was just a thought, too bad there is no way around it wish there was. The guards are doing a fantastic job making sure the horses are safe from reaching hands and keeping themselves safe as well or the pandemonium would start all over again.
@kathellison80849 күн бұрын
Hi Tanny, We are all here to air our thoughts that's why we follow John 😀. It's not just about the horses it's about keeping the public safe as well as so many have never seen or been near a horse before and have no idea how to behave around them ! Another sign of the times ! There was starting to be negative publicity for the Army as people were being bitten and the spammers were revelling in their videos which of course is why they were there all day . Now they have nothing to film they'll move on . There will always be crowds of people because of the location on Whitehall , I've seen a film from 1952 and it was packed ! The Troopers do a splendid job and have my admiration always . Have a good day 😀

LG horses on guard were as folls: - Reggie (Gatesman side) based on the white dot I managed to see when it shook its forelock @ 17:34 - Vitez (Chitsman side) based on the small coronet on its rear left hoof At the noon change: - Venus (Gatesman side) caught a glimpse of the white mark under the forelocks when it shook its head but was confirmed in Pt2 @11:06 when the mark was very clear - Rarden (Chitsman side) As always, please correct me if you think otherwise, especially for Reggie and Vitez.
