My son is only a few months younger than yours, and I've always felt you showed things as they really are with a toddler (particularly in the last vlog when emmet is trying to jump on you--i was like, yup, that's precisely how tiring parenting an almost 2 year old is). My only issue with your channel is that I wish you posted more!

I. Feel. You. I am 18 weeks pregnant while parenting an almost 2 year old, while working full-time (so does hubby). Everyday life is even more difficult than it should be because of the pandemic. My family stays home to stay safe. And because I’m always exhausted, lol. You don’t need to “produce” content that isn’t real just to please someone who can’t relate. I can’t wait to see what you do with the furniture, it’s adorable!

I’m sorry that people can be so rude, why they feel the need to comment just doesn’t make sense! Girl I’m right there with you, I have a 20 months old boy who runs around all day too. Plus I’m working full time as well. In these last few months we have gone through some hard times on top of COVID. With everything going on in life, we got pregnant back in May only at the end of June to have a miscarriage. So we just try our best to live life and always stay positive for the life we have now, even though things can get really hard. I’m right there with you and having people be rude is not necessary. Love watching all the house updates for baby girl! Keep them coming, my son likes to watch Emmett.

Emmett is a riot in that opening. OMG, I had to laugh. People are giving you crap about living your life by working, taking care of your family, picking up slack from whatever all the demands are on David while he's in school still to qualify, and you are trying to navigate a pandemic which is going to get worse over the winter! Are you supposed to be trekking in the Andes with your family and letting everything else go? There might be less exposure to Covid-19 there, but you have to get there and back, so maybe too much exposure to others? Wow. One of the reasons I watch your channel and few others is because you are real and smart and Emmett keeps me smiling on bad days. There are so many exciting channels with women who play with their hair and make-up all the time and have fabulous family outings at least once a month and hire professional photogs to take what are supposed to be normal family photos for a holiday (not posed for a Hollywood premiere) and they spend like drunken sailors on shore leave and they are prissy and they are always into something like aroma therapies or some new how-to-make-your-life-perfect nonsense, when real life was always, is and always will be a struggle to survive with some grace. I don't watch any of those channels. I think they are all weird pretty much. I saw one briefly where if she had had the troubles you had with the house once you moved in, she'd have been off to Yucatan with the family for a long weekend to get away from all the stress. Most people don't do that, so they must have huge amounts of money and powerful jobs that allow such sudden whimsical absences spur of the moment. Not most people's lives, even in the middle classes. Doesn't seem they have any family obligations that are not holiday parties or obligations with their children, like scouts or piano lessons or their teen son cutting lawns or things that are part of how kids learn about real life. No one has to watch your channel if they don't appreciate you, David, Emmett and soon Kollyns for who you are, hoping to find tidbits on how better to navigate certain problems we all encounter through watching your problem-solving skills or your ideas for workarounds. But I am guessing these are not the folks who write back to you to help out with real suggestions about the swallows you had in the spring, either. They sound unrealistic and superficial and apparently unaware that being an accountant is not full of thrills and being in modern medicine probably has way too many unpleasant thrills. You and David probably get to balance one another with the types of demands made by your jobs, which are so different. You have done a spectacular job with Emmett thus far, so there must be something going on that the thrill-a-minute set is missing. Don't let them get to you. I thought these channels were about a sort of sharing back and forth and not really entertainment. I will watch a scripted show if I want entertainment because I want some artistry involved and would never watch The Kardashians. I will watch a cooking or decorating or travel program, but not 'reality TV.' I cannot imagine what they do in their households if they are not cleaning up baby poo and dog poo and cooking and cleaning and working and tending to the obligations we chose to take on. I am not on other social media, so this is the only place I can follow you. But, I don't have time to check in on other people's lives daily. Why would you be going lots of places you don't have to go that would expose you all to Covid-19? Why can't you have a home where you enjoy the modest pleasures of home life, like playing games with your family, rather than leaving it as a museum for others to ooh & aah over while you leave it all the time to go out cavorting? French Provincial is lovely for a feminine baby room. If your daughter is born in March, she won't be going much of anywhere until June anyway when she's beyond her '4th trimester' and the winter horrors of the pandemic are, we hope, subsiding. So those clothes will be perfect. She'll be wearing infant stuff all spring to sleep, eat, and poop. Did Emmett find his tractor?
