The funny thing is that Fire Magic is inherently more destructive than the other elements, meaning that while the Stone Cannon Rudeus used was certainly impressive and capable of harming Orsted, it is far more worthy of note that Orsted chose to actually counter his Fireball. It's like the difference between seeing someone throw a rock at you and blocking it with your arm and seeing someone throw C4 at you and choosing to throw a Tower Shield at them so that shit doesn't get any where near you.
