most important R.P record anyone else that says otherwise will never fully understand how it feels to exist in a void

I would simply say, every Rudimentary Peni record is the greatest record ever! Every time.

I imagine others have tried Death Metal, or whatever you’d call Archaic, but seeing as Nick and Grant weren’t involved I’m not sure that I really care at all

I cannot choose a favorite. Therefore ALL Peni albums are treasures I've willingly loved for 34+yrs.. ♥︎!!!

I do love these newer releases, but for some reason I like the “fuller” sound and “spacious” layers of The Underclass; even though I think this album is more deeper in lyrics and darker in philosophical tone, IMO

Rudimentary Peni | Archaic EP [full] 2318pm 28.1.23 the music of the lunatic asylum. perhaps. but who cares. i scroll down and see live footage of war in such a and such a place. genuine entertainment purposeful live streams... so y'know... go figure.

That quote is my favourite one from the album too. They wrote less and less lyrics over the years.

Mine too. Mercy Of Slumber is one of my favorites of theirs, and I actually covered it live once with my project Bloated Subhumans, which is heavily influenced by later-era Peni (well along with Brainbombs, SPK, Flipper, obviously Man Is The Bastard, blah blah the list goes on).

All the good stuff! My favourite is Death Church, one of those records that I could listen to infinite times and not get sick of it.

This is one of those records where I don't really distinguish the songs as they basically bleed into each other and forms a unity
@luciano8158 Жыл бұрын
@@Stigmatix666 form*... yeah bleed is a great word to use. honestly i think this is one of the most meaningful artistic statements i have ever come across. sometimes i am quite convinced that a better album does not exist and that nick, grant and matt are grossly under-appreciated. i guess you can't make an album like this and expect many people to understand what you are doing
@Stigmatix666 Жыл бұрын
@@luciano8158 Agreed. Either you 'get' what RP are doing, or you don't.
