Good thoughts Rudi (and build!)… You’re not too negative. I always find you very balanced and helpful…but you’re right the audience has their own biases and this can greatly influence the general sentiment. A lot of people are worried about the future support this game will get so are particularly sensitive to critical comment and the potential impact. Keep it coming Rudi! Love your work!

I’ll agree with a lot of people here. I don’t find you negative, I see a lot of constructive criticism and feedback. Like you love these games so of course you want them to be better. Also how are things ever gonna be better if all types of criticism isn’t brought forward? You are one of the few creators I watch that actually mention when you feel that the community has been heard and improvements have been made

@@RudiRennkamel yes, you already did very nice assets in the park, I know how much work this 3d stuff means, but also the planet coaster 2 (and 1) engines are really great -- I use my own engine, as we have very large worlds its somehow different, but planet coaster allows for so many details with still good perfomance, the editor gets better with the update indeed. I also work for the disney cruise line ships (magic, wonder...) with the imageneering crue having my ship simulator on board of there ships for the kids to play -- maybe for planet coaster some kind of water game using a lock would be great, dont know how realise it but usingthe lifts etc and attaching stuff might be possible, so use a boat attraction driving into a lock lifting up then floating and then down hgaian -- just a cracy idea maybe

First of all, lovely build as always! I really like the way the inside looks. I find it sad that people are finger pointing and calling you negative because, at the end of the day, we all just want the game to be the best it can be. I think you said previously in a video something along the lines of "Nobody benefits if everybody stays silent" I think the different player types are problematic because they're/we're all getting different things out of the game. I said similar on reddit: Player 1 doesn't care about career mode issues because they're happy to open the game, build their realistic coaster, close the game/done. Player 2 is creative, isn't into the realism much, will make the most beautiful parks but they don't really care as long as the park looks pretty Player 3 will start asking people why guests aren't riding their 3000ft rollercoaster with no banking, but love the game Player 4 wants more realism in boomerang coasters, water rides, and flat rides, can see a lot of issues in game. Player 5 wants all the above to work in perfect harmony so that we can all benefit, but nobody seems to give a damn. I hate that I was told to use brakes to fake a splashdown on a water coaster :(

Maybe the negative comments are a negative of your great success. You're one of the most subscribed Planco2 creates so you're bound to get lots of negativity as have a much wider audience, of which comment more... And unfortunately the human mind always reads criticism first. But please trust that the majority love your videos and builds! I love this ep and the realism you provide, even to the air ducts!

I am a longtime RCT1/2 player, only started PlanCo this last year. I am absolutely thrilled with PC2, absolutely enjoying the game and viewing a lot of content. I get frustrated sometimes with the negativity of some people. A lot is about "realism". Take for example the slide mechanics. They are working on it now and fixed a lot already. But I tend to get frustrated when I see you build things where people walk right through scenery or have slides exits that aren't safe, like in this video. It all seems so... Random. And of course you can demand also specific wishes YOU like to see in the game, but it's not like everybody plays it the same way. I would never build something where guests are clipping through scenery for example. But I am totally fine with the slide physics as they are now. (However I can't wait to yeet guests from my slides)
@secondsquirrel116810 күн бұрын
The things that are demanded a lot of times aren't just specific things that apply to a select amount, most of the critique was and is definitely deserved. Planco2 shouldn't have been released in the state it is in, there is no way you can defend a lot of the stuff, ofc there is some really great stuff, but that shouldn't take away from the obvious flaws this game has, which aren't just a little.

It's just technically impossible to add guest collision on absolutely everything, just use barriers to block them where you need them:)

@@secondsquirrel1168 I hear you! And all the other people. And I agree that the game should've been more extensively tested. But the game is fun and beautiful already. And really a lot of the bugs/misbalance etc have already been fixed. It's not a total garbage unplayable game, like some of the people like to shout all the time.
@RudiRennkamel10 күн бұрын
That's the point, I never said it was garbage. And honestly I fully agree with you on the realism or random thing. For me personally tho it's huge difference if I decide to make slide like this because I CAN (my own decision) or if the game just delivers something absolutely weird like the weather. If I can decide that people won't go into pools below 15 degrees or deactivate it if I don't care - hey totally fine! My main issues circle around decisions to actively remove stuff that existed in frontier games in this universe. Like slide phyics, like snow and good weather, like snyched stations. That's where I am coming from. The other typical "complaints" like transfer tracks, midwaygames, parades etc are different imo. Sure you can be sad but it's not game breaking. Maybe they will come.

I was already annoyed by all the negativity about PC2, so just like PC2's first DLC, the timing of your last video was just horrible. Hope my little rant didn't feel like a personal attack or something. I appreciated your response and I do understand your frustrations about this game. Seeing how much this game grew in the months before the release makes me think we don't have to wait that long to see some significant changes though. The indoor pool looks nice btw
@RudiRennkamel10 күн бұрын
To be fair, the timing was down to frontier and my son's birth haha. I waited and hoped for any sign of improvement with the updates. The DLC disaster gave it the rest. So I agree timing for you was horrible but nothing I would have done different haha.

@@RudiRennkamel All the negativity does have some use though. Frontier did just basically apologize in their new video and they showed something very cool for the slides (no more flat bottoms) so hopefully we can all get more positive about the state of the game in 2025. Congrats on your son's birth!

Re: Your content, as somsone whose watched you since you turned up in planet coaster 1: The tone of your content was really negative when Planco 2 came out. I don't wanna speculate on the relationship you now have with them or not, it is what it is. But I don't think I would be too surprised. It was very noticable with your content versus the other content creators around the launch period. The really obvious example I can point to is I remember the night before launch, you were streaming on Twitch in the first stages of your Blizzard beach park - you essentially were just ranting for the 3 or so hours I watched. What followed that was your "why" video, and then a few other things. All in the same tone. I won't namedrop other content creators, it's not fair, but they were essentially starting their build series, showing off things they've made, et cetera et cetera. This is where your content is now, its really snapped back to normal in terms of tone. But the start was kinda rough watching, honestly. To end: With all that said, I agree'd with everything you said honestly lol, so this isn't me calling you out or anything. The game was a dumpster fire on launch day, and it's still going to be rough for a very long time. But it will be good. It is a good thing that frontiers feet are held to the fire about some of this stuff. But yeah. Anyway. Keep it up I guess :p

Yep - This is spot on. The lead up to Planco2 was when I tuned out for a while to be honest. Now I'm back for the builds and quality content... but at the time, I was so excited for the game to be released I didn't want to sit and listen to you talk about how bad it was going to be. (Even though it turns out you were right lol)
@RudiRennkamel10 күн бұрын
This comment is quality. Pure quality. It would have been so wrong if it was different. I was absolutely shocked when I received early access. I wrote a freaking book to frontier the same evening. This game, this franchise means a lot to me. As you know it all started with planet coaster. And then, I was more than hyped. The build-up was looking good. And then there was that game. Obviously you guys didn't have 2 weeks of frustration already like I had 😅😅 But what would this tell about me, if I'd just made normal good content, basically betraying my own feelings. This would not be my content. And if you wanna avoid it this is absolutely fine. The fact it's more normal now is, because there is hope! (Which is made more than obvious with my videos I guess) And another reason is, that I always think about you guys. I don't need to buy it, I got keys etc. So it would be easy to say "ah well it's fun, it's getting there". But eh, people need to pay 50+ euros for that. Shall I lie to them? I would not feel good, honestly. So thanks for really putting it into perspective. I wouldn't do anything different, not even the livestream (god it was terrible! Nothing worked lol)

@@RudiRennkamel It's all good mate. I know it was probably a very hard battle you had to face. Pretty much everyone had their own list of gripes with the game. And every player playing it right now has the same as well. It's absolutely okay and fine. It was just a rough start, and rightfully so. The game reminds me so much of the open beta of PC1 (I was there too xD). It's the way it is. We cant change it, and we probably should of expected it from Frontier to be honest. Most of us love them but it's pretty obvious that they would go down the same trajectory of the other games. I would say though that PlanZo had a way way better launch than this, all things considered. It was an honor and a privelege to be a part of PC1. I remember taking part in the ForAnneke parks, I remember even being a featured creator in 1, and I remember the amazing relationship the devs used to have with the players. Sadly that seems a little worse now. It is what it is, the game is kinda doodoo in some regards right now, it will get better. We know it will, but the honest discussion of if this game launched in a reasonable state is a very valid one to be having (The answer is an unequivacle no). I love them but they deserve the flak they are getting, it shouldn't be a competition with CS2 to see which game can have the biggest glowup from the launch-disaster. We did deserve better. I think if this has torched your relationship with frontier in the end then I'll grieve for you the things you lost with them, but I will thank you for holding them to account with the platform you had. You did do the right thing I think.
@emilyauld86227 күн бұрын
I am genuinely shocked Frontier has seemingly dropped you. I'm not 100% sure but are you not the largest "Planet" player on KZbin? Like subsciber numbers? I also wouldn't say you were unbelievably negative or pessimistic. There are problems with the game, they cannot deny that, and you didn't hide it. Simple as that. Really disappointed in this move from Frontier. Hoping it was all a big mistake and they'll make it right.

If anything you have not been critical enough. Let's be honest, the game is a mess, and should not have been released the way it was. You do a great job, and are giving honest feedback when you do give criticism. Keep up the great work.
