The definition of pretentious is "attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed. Given the fact that he is one of the best, if not the best, lyricists/vocalists/artists of all time, I would say he is pretty fuckin' humble. If he was pretentious, he would be basking in his fans' praise and would be whoring his image like all the top 40 popstars and such, yet he largely stays out of the spotlight (even at his own shows. I have seen him perform live quite a few times and have never once seen his face because he is either in the shadows, or lit from behind so you can only see his silhouette. Hell, at a few shows he was even behind a backlit curtain for parts of the performances. If he was so pretentious as people claim, I think I would have seen his face at least once at a show.

Weirdest part about all of it is everyone was sooo pissed that when he came back 2 years later a bunch didn’t go to see him. Now I do know a bunch of ppl who went to that concert but don’t know anyone who went to first that paid for second. The ppl I talked to from second show even mentioned that he said “Huntington, wv...don’t think I’ve ever been here before” and would tell me it wasn’t personal, he’s just weird like that. And also they’d say what u expect, he travels constantly...he’s not gonna remember us. I on the other hand thought it’s only been two years and the city booed his friends band off the stage, pretty sure he remembered us. It was just weird seeing all the tool fans turn against him after the show and literally were done with them then two years later ppl who weren’t even there was trying to tell us what “really happened” and that he wasn’t pissed he’s just odd!! Well ns that’s why we liked him in first time. Even when you drop a lav wire/radio mic down a trouser leg, you don’t need to lie down to remove it. It unplugs from the pack attached to the ankle, and can simply be pulled upwards and out. It’s also pretty unusual to do such an elaborate rig for a sit down interview, generally you would just attach to the belt and run the wire up the jacket/shirt. There’s no way Rudy was in that position to remove a radio.
