I'd think Norn is being quite normal in this episode as a kid who got separated from her beloved father to live with a relative who she hates. Her POV does give a clear insight of her thoughts, but so far her actions are understandable. Paul was simply acting immature during his reunion episode, which is not understandable before seeing his POV.

The reason Aisha was upset at Rudy listening to Norn’s request to live at the dorms wasn’t because he didn’t let Aisha do what she wanted, but because he was hesitant and made her overcome a trial first. Meanwhile Norn automatically got what she wanted without even trying. At least, that’s how Aisha saw it.

The anime screwed up the Aisha line. She essentially challenged and aced university. They actually tried to give her the Rudeus package of being a nominal student for their branding. She is a LITERAL genius. The test is their to gauge where to place the student from what we call elementary to our university. Aisha got a 'I guess you are a 30 something polymath' score. Anime also left it out but Aisha is already fully literate, Elementary in all magic disciplines and one Swordsmanship style (which is something most professional mages/knights/adventurers don't have). She is also functional in econ, business, etc. You honestly can't blame Norn for hating her given how much of a genius she is lol.

I've seen a lot of reactors saying that she should enter Magic University. In reality, learning a trade in this fantasy world is a far better option than attending this school. And being a Maid is a High class job. Just think about the mother. Yes, she was a servant in a KNIGHT HOUSE and she was more likely than not very well paid. About the University>>> the majority of students finish education with basic level magic in most disciplines. This school is mostly for people with money who have their life already solved. Magic is just an "edge" to them. People who already have fiancees and careers chosen for them beforehand. Of all the students in the main cast, see how many actually learn something they can use. Of all of them maybe Cliff has learned something, and that's by self study- for being a special student and having access to his own lab. But the princess? or Luke? the Doldia Sisters? there's barely anything to learn, even most mage class adventurers don't go to school. Even Silphiette is considered a once-in-a-decade talent (who also learned very little of use in life in Ranoa).

That's not entirely accurate, Ariel, Luke, Linia and Pursena all take classes in subjects they don't know anything about. Even Rudy takes some classes, advanced healing and detoxification if I remember correctly. Of course as you said none of them came to the university to study per se, but they are learning new useful things. The university also has economics classes and I believe even beginner and maybe intermediate swordsmanship classes. But those are all optional. The goal of the curriculum is for students to become beginners in all schools of elemental magic and then specialise and reach intermediate and if possible advanced in a specific school.

So I slacked off and cut school all the time only to show up for tests. But when I graduated, the options I selected were military, fire department, culinary. I landed on culinary for multiple reasons but I had plenty of elders saying things like, "could've been a doctor or lawyer and chose to be somebody's cook..." the thing with Aisha, is that Rudeus dont want to force her, he want to offer her a possibility want to keep the door open, but dont want to force her in any direction. Also to be fair Aisha is an elite maid, in the world, she can easily find a well paid job, she is basically someone that already has a degree and formal education, Aisha already has a better "resume" than 99,9% of that world. Rudeus is not worried because inside that world context, Aisha is like someone with 3 degrees, and 10 years of experience. They also failed to convey how much planning and calculation Aisha had to do for them to arrive to Rudeus place as quickly as they did. Aisha is older than Norn, and is basically a genius. I'm glad that the Light Novels shows what happens if Rudeus does or does not talk with Eris by having 2 separate timelines. One where he fights Eris everytime she tries to talk to him and he chases her off. The other where they make up. I don't want to spoil anything further. I just suggest reading the light novel. Volume 13-16 which will most likely be covered in season 3 of the anime

Rudeus actually told Ruijerd the WHOLE story. Then agreed to have an open mind whenever he meets Eris again. Poor Norn... she has inferiority complex. Aisha is a GENIOUS. Even Paul thought Norn might have a "problem" (seeing how Rudeus and Aisha are both extremely talented) but Norn is just a NORMAL kid. Add to that, that she doesn't know the whereabouts of her mom or the situation she is in (is she captured? is she a slave? is she alive even?), now even her father who she admires a LOT sends her away to live with a brother she is afraid of and hates... cuz the first time she met him he was beating the breaks off of their dad. Oh... after Aisha aced the exam , the principle suggested she gets to be a special student (in Rudeus class), by the way Aisha doesn't just want to be A MAID, she wants to be Rudys maid ONLY. There was some bad blood between Badigadi and the Superd... since the superd tribe worked for Laplace and killed the ish out of everyone. But they Rudy talked to Badi and explained him about the curse Laplace put into the Superd.

Rudeus's sisters both have inferioty complex with relation to each other. Aisha is the natural genius, skilled in intellectual and physical terms, but she has an inferiority complex because she is a bastard child, and thinks that she will always be behind her siblings no matter how hard she tries. She is the Maid's daughter and Norn is the Wife's daughter Norn on the other hand is the definition of average, she is a legitimate daughter but thinks she will always fall behind her genius siblings no matter how hard she tries. Which yeah, kind of boring Eris on the flipside is a complex character with emotional issues like Rudy. She interesting to see and observe how she handles situations

Norn She still a kid compared to Aisha that act more mature Norn is a normal kid. She's not as smart as Rudy and Aisha, and also by the fact that Rudy punching Paul Infront of her face. It's a bad first impression, Rudy just punching a Dad that she loves the person that take care her right after they got teleported and he's the only person she has.

rudeus should talk to eris not runaway from it. Also would help rujierd with the akwardness he find it hard to be there with sylphie. Since he expected eris and rudeus to be there together but that's another thing... well talking it out isn't a bad idea regardless of getting together or not rudeus should face his insecurities at the very least.
