If you remember, the full blood sister doesn't like him, because when Paul and Rudeus first reconnected, Rudeus started punching Paul, and the sister was there for it, she saw this strange man she didn't know was her brother attacking the only family she'd ever known. She jumped between them to stop it.

I'm sure Paul started the punching fight, what Rudy did was he used magic to fight back and eventually beat his own father down on the floor. Unfortunately the 6 or 7 year old Norn just walked in at that exact moment seeing a boy who she never met before, beating up her father who she knew had a very bad time after the teleportation. It conflicts her even more when she learns that boy who was beating up her father, was actually her older brother. The older brother who she never met, but every single adult in the family him can't stop telling her how smart and wonderful this brother is.

Think about it, you love your previous world so much that in your current world (isekai) doesn't really fit you much, for example, you don't have a family to go to nor cousins, ANYTHING. With that said, I understand how she feels in that part.

She can't do magic, sense magic, looks unnatural (like imagine a literal purple haired purple eyed person walking around, notice how few people from this world have her hair type/color) didn't know how to speak their language, spent forever not knowing anything. Lost the love of her life, lost... everything she liked, and unlike Rudy, she was a NORMAL HUMAN BEING. meaning she had reasons to keep being in her old world. I can't be sure, but I also believe she doesn't age in this world either, she's literally the definition of unnatural in this world.

In the LN the Nanahoshi scene is so more visceral. She screams, starts clawing her face and hitting her face on the wall and then goes into that almost dead like state. truly heart wrenching.

The full-blood sister (Norn) actually loves her dad more than anyone in the world (he was her only support and comfort for the years following the mana disaster), and she hates Rudeus because the first time she remembers ever seeing him, he was beating up on her dad. Aisha not only loves Rudeus because her mother basically has told her all her life that she was going to be his servant, but also because he saved her directly from the Shirone soldiers back during those episodes.

Sylphy being so open to the idea of Rudy having another woman probably has something to do with her hanging around his place as a kid and seeing how Zennith and Lilia handled things. Also she’s just naturally an overly self-sacrificing type of person who puts Rudeus’ happiness before her own to an almost dangerous degree. Thankfully Rudeus is quick to put himself in her shoes, realizing he’d never be able to do the same for her and resolving to stay loyal to just her.

I mean another big part of it is the society she is a part of. Powerful people having second wives isn't unheard of for the setting and she knows Paul did the same and that Rudy shares some traits with him. Given Rudy is also technically nobility it's pretty reasonable she'd expect that could happen. I think a lot of people kind of gloss over a lot of the cultural differences the setting has to earth. For Sylphy that's just a natural possibility given he could legally do it.

Not just Paul's relationships were a factor, but her being friends with Ariel and Luke. She knows how the nobility roll, and Rudeus still of the same house as Luke. You could say she's trying to already cope with the possibility of Rudeus' desires gettign the better of him and trying to make it so that he doesn't outright replace her, but the idea of harems and polyamorous relationships is normalized in that world.

Also monoganism is not a standard in this world. Only the Milim church practices it as a rule, and they aren't as powerful as Catholicism was in our world, for example. The main reason most people just have one wife in this setting is money, honestly. It can get expensive.

A good chunk of people bases a lot of their viewpoints on people using their first impressions as references for later actions. So if the impression is bad there is good chances they'll conflate later actions to something bad. Like that you are only being helpful to butter them up to ask for something later. Or that you are only doing terrible actions because of an outside reason because the first impression was good.

It also doesn't help that Rudeus was considered a very gifted kid by his family. Norn definitely heard she has an older brother who left home when she was a baby. It's not easy to like an older sibling who you know is miles better than you and you are going to live under their shadow.

The kind of despair she had is debilitating to the point some stop eating entirely and just waste away until they die. What's the point? That's a common question that kept me from eating, bathing and even getting up when I was in the worst part. You just lie in bed waiting to die. I'm glad Rudeus helped Nanahoshi. It's not a fate I want for anyone. The very will to live sapped out of you until there's nothing left but a hollow shell.

7:00 it wasn't a tantrum, it was an existential breakdown, she was destroying stuff out of dread that she would never see the loved ones from her previous life again and she couldn't accept it, it was purely out of a deep sense of pain and dread. She was desperately grasping for a lifeline but felt deep down that nothing was there to save her. Thankfully Rudeus was there to save her from that dark place.

It's not wrong to call it that, it just doesn't aptly describe or give justice to how deeply she had fallen. It'd be like attributing a character to being "sad" when the correct word to describe them would be "extremely depressed", it's not _wrong_ to call them sad but it doesn't accurately describe their actual emotional state to merely call them "sad".

The big thing Norn has against Rudeus is the first time she met him in her own memory (she was still very young when Rudeus was sent to tutor Eris) was Rudeus kicking Paul's ass in that tavern in Millishion. I'm going to leave it at that because it will obviously be a major theme for the next few episodes, but that is the foundation of why Norn dislikes her brother.

@@YaBoyRockLee he just doesn't understand how it works. in order for anyone to do incantationless magic they need to have a great understanding of how the spell works be it hte physics around it or the way you want it to do healing, or how it could work in their mind. that's my understanding. thats why rudeus can create his own spells that aren't in this worlds spell books (like the rock bullet/drill, or the almost atomic fusion purple ball that shot to orsted in season 1) he understands or has knowledge of how these things work or the principles behind them and made it happen.

It sucks that they skipped the party scene. As part of the celebration they went to a pub, Nanahoshi tried to rent out the entire place to themselves while Badigadi who joined in without being invited doubled it to give unlimited free rounds to everyone and order one of everything on the menu. Nanahosi got smashed started singing anime openings in Japanese (badly). Rudy found out the Sylphie is a very clingy drunk and refers to her as an "adorable creature" and Nanahoshi complains that throughout the week she stayed with them she kept hearing Rudy and Sylphie going at it.

No norn doesn't hate her dad we saw her in season 1 episode 16 get mad at rudeus for beating on paul in their fight. In season 1 rudeus sees her 2 times one time as a baby and the second time when she is travelling with paul. So to norn's her first real introduction to rudeus is him beating on her dad, because she hadn't seen rudeus since she was a infant. Rudeus was like 7 when he went to eris and didn't see them for years so to norn her fight with paul was probably her first introduction to him.
