Thanks for showing the world what *actually* happened in the Bonus Round -- when "Wheel" did their ceremonial 4,000th show in 2003, they showed this mis-solve and EDITED IN A BUZZER.

That's right. After the first 5 or so weeks of the 6th syndicated (15th daytime) season, they decided to do RSTLNE, then 3 consonants and a vowel, and reduced the time to 10 seconds.

"AT MY....(buzzer)WIT'S END!" The buzzer rang in the middle of when he was still trying to sound it out. But TECHNICALLY, he DID start saying it before the buzzer rang so it counts as a win. If you start saying the correct answer BEFORE the buzzer goes off, the answer still counts.

I was having a field day with this bonus round puzzle. I noticed after Rudy solved the puzzle just before the buzzer there wasn't a close up look at the puzzle board where Vanna turned the rest of the letters and yes the letter M is a nice trilon letter however my favorite letters are J, Q and Z.

I think Ken had a gap of about 3/4 of a second between the M in "my" and W in "wit's". I don't know how long it took for the other contestant to get from "Love" to "Boat".

I'm pretty sure it aired at 7:30 from 1983until like 1990, when the show moved to channel 7. IIRC, Jeopardy used to air on 7 at 7 p.m.

I noticed that. He said "AT MY," the buzzer sounded, and he screams, "WIT'S END!" If he said "AT MY," the buzzer sounded, and then he said, "AT MY WIT'S END!!" he wouldn't win because he said it after the buzzer sounded. Unfortunately, a lot of Americans that watched the 4000th episode and/or viewed the clip at Wheel's site will think that he didn't get it! When Wheel has it's 5000th episode, they should include the part that showed he did indeed get it!!

It was on WUSA (then WDVM) at the time-- didn't join Jeopardy! on WJLA until 1990, I believe.

Tell that to the guy who did the exact same with THE LOVE BOAT in January 1985 (nighttime) and lost. He said THE LOVE...(buzzer)...BOAT, and Pat said the buzzer beat him. (It's on the show's website, and KZbin, as "Vanna's Apartment Key".)
