She even carried his child. I think she loved him from that first day in 1863. Felt so bad for Stefan when Valerie had told him she had been pregnant with his child. He looked like he had been punched in the stomach, and was on the verge of crying. I think he really was heartsick over it. I wonder if Lily would have been angry with Valerie? think they would have gone back together, to Mystic Falls? My Guess is Stefan would have married her.

When everyone left him alone she was the only one who was there for him. Her love for him was pure and selfless. The love story of Stefan and Valerie was the best of all in tvd and i don't think Stefan would have left her, if she has stayed after saving him and had she not said that she wanting to be on her own, they would be together and Very very happy. But that way the end they had thought of would never have happened in season 8.

That was the only love story that made sense for Stefan. plus Valerie was best for her. come on it's like soul mates.. she loved him and cared for him and even decided to leave him alone in the end so that he can get to Caroline. that is true love. and I consider Stefan to be the greatest fool to not stop her. but anyways they gotta follow script ehh lol

Believe me, it was a very emotional scene for the fans and Stefan and Valerie; they were both each others first loves so it's going to be hard, though Stefan will no doubt try to get back together with Caroline, but I wish they'd just be friends because it's not real love between them. I hope that Valerie comes back and if not then she should be happy, I'm just glad they didn't kill her off. I love her so much and will always prefer her and Stefan over Stefan and Caroline.
