Herr Ruf ist eine Legende, aber für diesen Werbefilm hätte ich mir einen besseren Ton beim Interview gewünscht, sollte für so einen Weltkonzern wie BASF doch realisierbar sein.

How did RUF become a brand known all over the world? - We earned this title ourselves. Everything started with the so called YELLOW BIRD. Because this car became famous, it was implemented into the game "Gran Torino", which made the brand even more famous. What exactly do you do? - We are an official PORSCHE partner, we restore cars and thirdly we build cars. Why do the clients come to you? - They are searching for a car, just like the 911, that you as a driver really have to drive. It's simply an analog car that is on the one hand hard to drive but on the other hand interesting to drive because you need to be a skilled driver. Where does your creativity come from? For example you designed a car for the desert? - We have crazy ideas sometimes and we luckily have the opportunity to realize them. The painting of the car is really important. Do you have a special partner that paints your cars? - Yes, the painting of a car is the first thing that you notice when looking at a car. It has to be perfect. That's why we have a specialized partner doing this for us. Will you stay conservative or are you willing to implement modern systems like e-mobility? - We rather stay conservative. We are the best in what we are doing. (Never change a winning team) Who are the clients coming to you? - Mainly Porsche drivers or clients with special requests. Sometimes we restore cars for ourselves. We always try to build a car as original as possible when restoring one. What kind of projects do you have? - Sometimes there are really special projects like building a whole new car based on the design of old timers. What's your motivation (towards the leader of the painting workshop) - We always try to be as good as the original or even better while working on painting and the car body. Also we try to keep it original and focus on solving problems we know old porsches have and try to improve them. Reflection is a big part of the constant development and improvement of our work. How long does it take to paint such a car? - Around 240-250 hours. But this one was really tricky. There are cars that take less or more time, it always depends on the requests of the clients. (Simple summary, English might not be the best)
