It starts well, already a dead man in the crushed garage with the forklift 😄 Very good work for the servo, and that had to be complicated considering the little space that there is, already the wheels turn much better, I think it is still possible to make them turn more by cutting the plastic on each side . A lipo battery in 2s is much better than their batteries and it gives it a lot more power, a second part of video very interesting. I will look forward to the rest of your work 😊

You and me both! I would not buy this for my grandson. Love him too much to punish him with this lol - but then I'm enjoying the challenge. Slowly we're getting there. Ordered 3 new ESCs for it. Waiting for them to get here. Project on hold until then!!!

is there an esc for the drive motor as well?
@JCRC4 жыл бұрын
Total 3 ESCs. One for the drive motor (forward and reverse), one for the boom (tilt forward and backward) and another to raise and lower the fork.

@@JCRC Thanks for the info. One is not required for the steering servo? I just ordered this machine and plan to follow this build as closely as I can. Is it possible to keep the original steering servo and just add an esc to that for proportional steering?
@JCRC4 жыл бұрын
@@MillCreekWoodworking The original steering doesn't have a servo. It works differently from a servo. A servo goes from end to end and stops when it reaches the end of its assigned travel. The non-proportional steering is simply a motor that keeps turning and has plastic mechanisms to stop the wheels from trying to turn more. If you are not going to change the steering method, I suggest you don't do anything at all. If and when you get to this, let me know if I can be of help. The steering servo is connected to the receiver to receive commands from your radio. The servo has a "build-in" esc/controller.
