I cannot stress how much this video saved my life. My heater core took a massive one on my 94 cabriolet and no one had a clear video or instructions. This channel is a gods send

I just did the heater core on my 95 Avant S6 and the inlet/outlet feeds crumbled as well... although not as badly as yours. Tell tale sign - reservoir was depleting itself slowly, and I could find a small streak of coolant under the rain tray corridor. Nice job Dave! :) Keep up the good work!

It's great to learn something new in each of these videos. Only done 1 Audi heater core ever, and that was in my old B3 in a back alley in Chicago on a 90 degree day with some other Audi nerds. Before you crumpled the heater core hard (or soft) lines I thought "Hey, maybe he can save that and use it for..." then you crushed it. Looking forward to seeing whats next for this car.

That thing was toast! My advice, a used heatercore is as useful as a used condom. Why go through all the effort to put in used, not worth my time!

Doing mine next week, glad I found this by Chance. Now I can be prepared to refurb the flaps

Good job on that Heater Matrix . looking forward to future updates these Audis where built to last ...cheers from the UK

Another great update! You might try a simple rebuild of the shift linkage to take care of that slop. I have a list of hardware store pieces, if you need it. I just followed the old AW tech article.

Do you have the AW link?

Thanks Dave. Another great how-to! Perhaps that plastidip will be better that soft touch used in the C5’s 😬

Ive actually seen a lot of people use stickers, they peel off the soft touch and cover with replacement stickers...

Another great video ! Thank you So much for your incredible knowledge of these older Audi models! I do have a question. I'm sure you can answer it in a snap. I have a 92 Audi UrS4. The engine was supposedly rebuilt. I now have it back. There's a low oil pressure? The other new mechanic said he'll have to replace the oil pump??? Is this true? My poor S4 sat at the other engine rebuilder shop for 3 years. Don't ask.
@BrokenQuattros4 жыл бұрын
How are you measuring oil pressure? Have you tried an external manual gauge? Things to check for is if the check valve was reinstalled or crushed (happens often with rebuilds and people installing arp mains), if it is the pump, replacing it will fix it. But given that it was recently rebuilt id be questioning more the method it was rebuilt and clearances that were used. Did you get any kind of blueprinting with the motorbuild?
@lorenreyes28554 жыл бұрын
@@BrokenQuattros No I didn't get any blueprint. The rebuilder told me that he was using only parts from the Audi dealership. To rebuild the engine to original Audi S4 specs. Thank you for your reply! I really appreciate it!

One of these has come up for sale in my area, looks mint. Going to check it out soon, are parts for these hard to find? Tough on maintenance?
@BrokenQuattros4 жыл бұрын
This one has literally sat for 15 years without being touched so all this stuff im catching up on is years of neglect. Honestly they are very stout. If you have the 20v model there is very little that is needed. Oil changes and timing belts every 10 years

Damn the heatercore of my '92 Audi Convertible was completely broken and slowly leaked the co-drivers carpet. The whole box was filled with muddy leaves thanks to the missing cabin filter. Does your Audi 90 has a cabin filter preinstalled?
@m0nss7erKill Жыл бұрын
My B3 doesent have cabin filter as well. From what I heard, some dont have filter at all. You can get filter box from B4 with air condition and put it in. Its plug and play.

Hey I just recently got a Audi 90 and want to upgrade the exhaust but am having a hard time figuring out what I should get. Any suggestions?
@BrokenQuattros4 жыл бұрын
Tough question. If you can find someone selling a used stainless setup like stebro or scorpion, id do that. CAC made setups but not sure if they are still doing it. There is also a brand in europe called fox that was making some last i heard. Otherwise its custom only!

I have a jhm short shifter from 034 in my cq. Big difference from stock

I personally think the JHM is the best one out there. I have used coolerworks and like the engagement, but i like that the jhm hides away like stock

Is it the same concept for a 94 audi cs90

Same concept yes, however the b4 often has a passenger side airbag, which adds some changes
