the audiobook version of the first book is amazing. Amber narrates it and she adds so much to it

Beautiful American women, who, after great struggle, still manage to exude joy. Pure, joy!

I can't wait to get my copy! And then maybe some copies for those who are oblivious. It's nice to remember we're not alone in this Sugar Honey Ice Tea!

This book is now illegal in Florida public schools. If a fascist like Ron DeSantis condemns you, you must be doing something good. Keep up the great work, Ruffins!

The late Mr. Richard Pryor made a living on his life stories, so why not right. Truth can be funny. I know this for myself, do you? N one person's experiences can be all the more funny pervided we want them to be funny as well as truthful down to the last tear.

The erroneous language of “ people” look at me funny… missing the word that describes what these people look like.

I was going to read this, but when I saw that they used bad language, I had to give it a pass
@sunnyjohansen1958

Ridiculous! No language is "bad" unless it is used as a weapon to hurt. Intention behind the words are the only thing that matters. Words are just words. Oh crap and oh sh@& are the same thing. 🤷‍♀️

@@sunnyjohansen1958 Thank you, but as a Christian, I will obey God's view of what language I should use and listen to

@@SJHFoto I would think as a Christian you would also not leave that first comment and not be judging.
@SJHFoto

@@sunnyjohansen1958 A lot of people don't understand what judging means. Judging is putting your opinion on things, not calling out things that God says is wrong. For instance, if I were to say, "Everyone who drives a Toyota is an idiot!", I am judging. If I say, "murder is wrong because the Bible forbids it", I am not judging. Or if I even said "I am better than someone who murders because I am too righteous to do such a bad thing", I would be judging. I never looked down on what people do, but I am not going to pretend that prohibited behaviour isn't forbidden

@@SJHFoto I grew up in this. I know exactly the justification. Those rules are for you to live by because that is your belief system. At the end of the day, your comment wasn't kind and it wasn't helpful. They get to live and speak how they see fit based on their belief systems. See how that works. I am done with the back and forth. I just hope maybe if you are as good of a Christian as you say then you will care to not say things that are productive, helpful or asked for because it isn't your place. Not everyone shares your beliefs.
