the buy it or die message is actually hacked in by the person who first dumped the rom. and since many people downloaded that first dumped rom they receive the message thinking it is real. but it is later known this is hacked in, and the proper dump of the game does not have this. so if you see the message, it means you downloaded the hacked rom.

They decided that they would go with leaf green over ocean blue because fire and water are conflicting and there is enough conflict in the world as it is so they wanted to try and show that it was all peacefull or something like that.

Another layer to the Pattern Bush is that the only type of Pokemon you can encounter in the grass, are bug types, a reference to how 'buggy' the gen 1 games were.

I just found out that in Pokémon sword and shield, that the Nintendo switch in your room will change joycon colors depending on what joycon colors you’re using with your switch at the time. Dunno if that makes sense or not Doesn’t pertain to the games in this video but I thought it was super cool anyways!

i once got a "Bad egg" encounter in my GB. it was lvl 77 egg. I caught it and it turned into a treecko when I checked it on the pc.. But the weird part is, the treecko never evolved.. it was kinda frightening.

That is not frightening it is in the game's code the bad egg is given you by the game if you catch a pokemon by cheating (sometimes without cheating too but game can make mistakes) and if it hatches and doesn't freeze you game(which is very lucky) you should not be surprised if that pokemon is wierd

Another funny easter egg about the pattern bush, you can encounter only bug pokemon in the area referencing all the glitches in red and blue. Also, I'm pretty sure that the sailor fact is incorrect because I've played fire red and leaf green multiple times on my emulator and I've never come across that message.

About the "buy it or die" line: "After looking at the "GoodGBA" dumps, this message is only present in "Pokemon - Fire Red Version (U) (V1.0) [f1].gba" at 0x71A23D, as Xdaniel said near 5 years ago. -Einstein95 (talk) 03:48, 6 February 2017 (EST)" Notice the [f1] in the filename, which indicates "fixed" which stands for the rom being patched to use SRAM instead of FLASH for the savegame (back them emulators/flashcarts used only SRAM for savegames, so many games were patched. The people who released the rom added the message. But peoole will still think this was added by nintendo...
